The hidden part of Wudhu
' When you have done Wudhu and you are ready to pray your

Allah will see. You should have shame if you pray to Allah and your heart is not clean. Your heart is purified by
repenting and not committing bad actions or things and it is better to adopt good things. The example of the one who cleans
his outer self and doesn't pure his inner self is like the person Who invited the king to this house and to greet him, he decorates and cleans his garden but leaves the inside
of his house dirty. This person is not entitled to being rewarded; he is only entitled to the king's anger.

While performing Wudhu, the body parts are washed in a certain
order and there are many benefits regarding this. When the hands are washed first, the nerves become aware of the water.

Dear Friends did you know that one of the most remarkable duels in history
took place during the Battle of the Ditch between Ali bin Abi Taalib and Amr bin Abdu Wud. Amr (We shall call him
the Giant!) was a huge man of a tremendous height and bulk, and while on his feet would tower above his fellow men. Sitting
on his great horse, he looked positively unreal. Big, strong and fearless, he had a fierce countenance--an aspect which thrilled
his comrades and dismayed his enemies.
Amr stood motionless as he let his gaze wander scornfully over the ranks of
the Muslims. Suddenly the Giant raised his head and roared, "I am Amr bin Abdu Wud. I am the greatest warrior in Arabia. I am invincible. Is there anyone among you who has the courage to meet me in personal combat?"
The challenge was received by the Muslims in silence. They looked at one another. They looked at the Holy Prophet. But no
one moved, for the Giant was famous for his strength and skill, and though wounded several times, had never yet lost a duel,
nor spared an opponent. It was said that he was equal to 500 horsemen; that he could lift a horse bodily and hurl it to the
ground; that he could pick up a calf with his left hand and use it as a shield in combat. The vivid Arab imagination had created
around this formidable warrior a legend of invincibility. So the Muslims remained silent, and the Giant laughed with contempt--a
laugh in which the Quraish also joined, for they stood quite close to the ditch and could see and hear all that went on. "So
is there none among you who has the courage of a man? And what of your Islam? And your Prophet?" At this blasphemous taunt,
Ali left his position in the front rank of the Muslims, approached the Holy Prophet and sought permission to engage the challenger
and silence his insolent tongue once and for all. The Prophet replied, "Sit down. This is Amr!" Ali returned to his position.
There was another burst of scornful laughter, more taunts, and another challenge. Again Ali went up to the Prophet. Again
the Prophet declined permission. More laughter, more taunts. Again the challenge from Amr, and this time more insulting than
before. "Where is your paradise?" He shouted, "Of which you say that those who lose in battle will enter it? Can you not send
a man to fight me?" When for the third time Ali moved towards the Prophet, the Prophet saw in Ali's eyes a look which he knew
well; and he knew that Ali could no longer be restrained. He looked at Ali fondly, for Ali was dearer to him than any other
man. He took off his turban and wound it around Ali's head. He next took off his sword and girded it at Ali's waist. And he
prayed: "O Lord! Help him!? Now in Ali's hand, was the sword to become the most famous in Islam, killing more men in fair
combat than any sword in history. This was the Zulfiqar. Ali hastily collected a small group of Muslims and strode out towards
the unbelievers. The group stopped at some distance from the Giant, and Ali stepped forward and got to within dueling distance
of the challenger. The Giant knew Ali well. He had been a friend of Ali's father, Abu Taalib. He now smiled indulgently at
Ali as a man might smile at a boy. "O Amr!" called Ali. "It is believed that if any man of the Quraish offers you two proposals,
you always accept at least one of them." "True." "Then I have two proposals to offer you. The first is: accept Allah and His
Messenger and Islam." "I have no need of them." "Then dismount from your horse and fight me." "Why, O son of my brother? I
have no desire to kill you." "But I", replied Ali, "Have a great desire to kill you!" The Giant's face flushed with anger.
With a cry of rage he sprang off his horse, displaying a degree of agility surprising in so huge a monster. He hamstrung his
horse, drew his sword and rushed at Ali. The fight was on. Amr struck at Ali many times, but Ali remained unharmed. He would
parry the blow with his sword or shield or nimbly step aside to let the Giant's sword whistle past him harmlessly. At last
the Giant stood back, panting and baffled. He wondered how this could be. Never before had any man survived so long in personal
combat against him. And now this boy was looking at him as if he was playing a game! Then things happened so fast that no
one could quite follow the sequence. Ali dropped his sword and shield to the ground; his body shot through the air like a
missile and his hands grasped the Giant's throat; with a wrestler's kick he knocked the Giant off balance, and the Giant came
crashing to the ground-all in a matter of seconds. Now the Giant lay on his back with Ali sitting astride his chest. The two
armies gasped and murmured, then held their breath. The bewilderment on the Giant's face changed to fury. At last he had been
thrown, and by this young upstart who was less than half his size! But although he was down, he was not finished. He would
still win the battle and re-establish his position as the greatest warrior in Arabia. He
would toss this youngster into the air as a leaf is tossed by the wind. The Giant's face went purple, the veins stood out
on his neck and his huge biceps and forearms trembled as he strained to break Ali's grip. But he could not move it an inch.
There was the quality of steel in the muscles of Ali. "Know, O Amr", said Ali gently, "that victory and defeat depend upon
the will of Allah. Accept Islam! Thus not only will your life be spared, but you will also enjoy the blessings of Allah in
this life and the next." Ali drew a sharp dagger from his waistband and held it close to Amr's throat. But this was more than
the Giant could take. Was he whom Arabia considered her greatest champion to live the rest
of his life under the shadow of defeat and disgrace? Was it to be said of him that he saved his life in personal combat by
submitting to the conditions of his opponent? No! He, Amr bin Abdu Wud, had lived by the sword. He would perish by the sword.
A life spent in violence must end with violence. He gathered the spittle in his mouth and spat into the face of Ali! He knew
what would happen. He knew that there would be a sharp intake of breath, that Ali's right arm would shoot into the air and
then plunge the dagger into his throat. Amr was a brave man and could face death without flinching. He arched his back and
raised his chin to offer his throat to Ali, for he knew what was to come. But what happened next left him even more bewildered.
Ali rose calmly from Amr's chest, wiped his face, and stood a few paces away, gazing solemnly at his adversary. "Know, O Amr,
I only kill in the way of Allah and not for any private motive. Since you spat in my face, my killing you now may be from
a desire for personal vengeance. So I spare your life. Rise and return to your people!" The Giant rose. But there was no question
of his returning to his people a loser. He would live a victor, or not at all. Intending to make one last attempt at victory,
he picked up his sword and rushed at Ali. Perhaps he would catch Ali unaware. Ali had just enough time to pick up his sword
and shield and prepare for the fresh assault. The blow which the Giant now delivered in furious desperation was the most savage
blow of the encounter. His sword shattered Ali's shield, but in doing so lost its force and impetus, and could then do no
more than inflict a shallow cut on Ali's temple. The wound was too slight to worry Ali. Before the Giant could raise his sword
again, the Zulfiqar flashed in the sunlight, and it's tip slashed open the Giant's throat. The blood of the Giant gushed forth
like a fountain. For a moment the Giant stood motionless. Then his body began to sway as if he was drunk. And then he fell
on his face with a crash and lay still. The earth did not shake with the impact of that colossal body. The earth is too big.
But the hill of Sil'a shook with the cry of Allah-o-Akbar that thundered from 2,000 Muslim throats. The triumphant cry echoed

connection of 'Ali -- the commander of the faithful with the Nabi -- originiated in the family of Abdul-Muttalleb, Ali having
been the son of Abu T‚leb, the son of Abdul-Muttalleb, the son of H‚shem whose name was Umar, called Omr‚n the high, on account
of his dignity. During a year of famine and hardship Omr‚n had gone to Syria, and thence imported bread, on an infinite number
of dromedaries, to the sanctuary, so that every day two camels were slaughtered and roasted; and the dry breads, having been
moistened, were distributed twice daily. He was the first among the Arabs who invited guests to a repast prepared of moistened
bread, and therefore surnamed H‚shem. Other chroniclers, again, have said that H‚shem means one who breaks bread in a cup
to make it a kind of porridge, but the difference between the two meanings is obvious. Hashem was proverbial for his liberality
and unrivalled in gracefullness; the luminous beams of distinction radiated in such a manner from his forehead that whoever
beheld his countenance had not the boldness to contemplate it, but looked to the ground. This the Christian sovereigns knew
from their sacred books, and wished to enter into connection with him. One of these was Harql (Heraclius, the Byzantine emperor),
who sent him an ambassador and offered him a virgin whom he guarded in his private apartments, but H‚shem refrained from complying
with his petition. Afterwards, however, he entered --in consequence of a dream he had -- into a matrimonial alliance, at Madinah,
with Solma, one of the noblest ladies of the Bani Najjar, who was decorated with the ornaments of intellect and sagacity,
on condition that her confinement should take place in her own house. After the consummation of the marriage the lady was
taken to Makkah, but on her becoming pregnant with Abdul-Muttalleb she was on account of the condition again conveyed back
to Madinah, but after she had given birth to Abdul-Muttalleb, Hashem went to Syria, fell sick in the vicinity of Damascus,
and gave directions in his last agony to surrender the bow to the Prophet Esma'il, the banner, and the key of the house of
the Ka'bah, which he had inherited from his forefathers, to Abdul-Muttalleb, and having, though young, bidden farewell to
his perishable world, he was buried in that country, where his tomb is still known and visited. Some say that H‚shem went
to Syria before the birth of Abdul-Muttalleb, and that he had himself given the just-mentioned articles to his brother Muttalleb,
to whom he had also transferred the gubernatorial office, whilst the latter, in his turn, surrendered everything to Abdul-Muttalleb.
But Muttalleb was the son of Abd Mun‚f whose name was [also] Moghairah and surname Abdush-Shams, but Mun‚f was likewise the
name of an idol. On account of his great beauty, he was also named Qamar [full moon], and because he had inherited the sovereignty
from his father, the surrounding kings hastened to join Abd Mun‚f. He had four sons: one of them was H‚shem, about whom some
circumstances have already been mentioned above. Abdush-Shams was the ancester of the Bani Ummayya [called Ommiade Khalifs
by European authors]; Naufil was the forefather of habib, the son of Mu'azim, and Muttalleb of Ali Shafa'i; the latter was
thus surnamed because it is related that H‚shem and Abdush-Shams were twins, whose foreheads were connected at their birth
and could not be separated, until at last the sword was resorted to. An intellignet man, who had been informed of this proceeding,
considered it to be a sign that the descendants of the two brothers would decide their quarrels with the sabre, which prediction
was actually fulfilled in the enmity between his lordship the Nabi (s.a.s.) and Abu Sufyan, between Ali (r.a.a.) the
select and Mu'awiah, and between the Im‚m Hussain (r.a.a.) and Yazid.

Abdullah ibn as-Sunnabiji stated that the Messenger of Allah SAW said,
"When a slave makes ablution and rinses his mouth, his wrong deeds fall from it. As he rinses
his nose, his wrong deeds fall from it. When he washes his face, his wrong deeds fall from it until they fall from beneath
his eyelashes. When he washes his hands, his wrong deeds fall from them until they fall from beneath his fingernails. When
he wipes his head, his wrong deeds fall from it until they fall from his ears. When he washes his feet, his wrong deeds fall
from them until they fall from beneath his toenails. Then his walking to the mosque and his prayer give him extra reward."

Ashadu an laa ilaaha illallah wa ashhadu an na muhammadan 'abduhu wa rasooluhu Translation: I testify that there is no god except Allah, the One Who has no partner, and

Asking for success
Rabbanaa a tinaa fid dunyaa hasanah wa fil akhirati hasanatan wa qinaa azaaban naar Translation: Our Lord! Grant us good in this world and good in the life to come and keep
us safe from the torment of the Fire[Al-Baqarah :201]

"O Allah! Indeed, I ask of You, by the fact that to You belongs all Praise; there is no (true) god except You, [You alone,

Asking for firmness of iman
Rabbanaghfirlanaa zunoobanaa wa israafanaa fee amrinaa wa thabbit aqdaamanaa wan sur naa 'alal qaumal kaafireen
Translation: Our Lord! Forgive us our sins and the lack of moderation in our doings, and make
firm our steps and succour us against those who deny the truth. [Ale Imraan: 147]

Protection from al-Masih ad-Dajjal
It must be said. And it must be said clearly. Al-Masih ad-Dajjal (the AntiChrist or False Messiah) is a human being, a
man. Nothing more. I have heard it said on multiple occasions from the mouths of Muslims that the Dajjal is the computer,
or the internet, or the US dollar bill, or the television. This is incorrect. We have been warned numerous times in
the Qur'an and in the ahadeeth to never speak without knowledge. And this is a dangerous subject to throw in opinions
Know the Characteristics of the Dajjal
Though not mentioned in the Qur'an, al-Masih ad-Dajjal is often mentioned in the ahadeeth. The Prophet (peace be upon him)
described the Dajjal in great detail. Through his description we know what the Dajjal will look like, where he will first
appear, who will follow him, what he will do once he gets here, and how he will be killed. The Prophet (peace be upon him)
I have told you so much about the Dajjal (Antichrist) that I am afraid you may not understand. The Antichrist
is short, hen-toed, woolly-haired, one-eyed, an eye-sightless, and neither protruding nor deep-seated. If you are confused
about him, know that your Lord is not one-eyed. (Abu Dawood)
We know that he will be a man. He will be blind in one eye. His hair will be curly and he will be short. The believers,
whether literate or illiterate, will be able to read the letters kaaf, faa, raa (spelling kaafir or "disbeliever"),
written between his two eyes.
The Dajjal will claim to be Messiah and then claim to be Allah, Himself. He will perform miracles. He will traverse the
earth in short periods of time. He will exert control over weather patterns, sending down rain upon those who believe in him.
He will exert a similar influence over crops and livestock. He will only be able to do this because Allah, in all of His Power
and Wisdom, will allow him to do so, not because the Dajjal has any power unto himself. He will serve as a massive trial for
humanity. We must learn how to protect ourselves. Read and study the ahadeeth regarding the Dajjal to learn his characteristics and what he will call to. Then, practice the following:
Avoid the Dajjal
The Prophet (peace be upon him) warned that the Dajjal would be the greatest fitnah or trial mankind would know.
There would be no creation (creating more trouble) than the Dajjal right from the creation of Adam to the Last
Being such a fierce trial, even the believer who is sure that this is Dajjal is instructed to avoid him.
Whoever hears of (the appearance of) the Dajjal, let him stay away from him. By Allah! A man will come to him,
thinking himself to be a believer, but will follow him because of doubts he will raise. (Bukhari, Muslim, Abu Dawood, and
Du'aat or Supplications
It is known that the Prophet (peace be upon him) made du'a seeking protection from the Dajjal. While still seated, prior
to the tasleem in the last rakah of each prayer he sought refuge in Allah from debt, the trials of the grave, the trials of
life and death, and the trial of al-Masih ad-Dajjal. Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her)said:
Allah's Apostle used to invoke Allah in the prayer saying "Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min adhabil-qabri, wa
a'udhu bika min fitnatil-masihid-dajjal, wa a'udhu bika min fitnatil-mahya wa fitnatil-mamati. Allahumma inni a'udhu bika
minal-ma thami wal-maghrami. (O Allah, I seek refuge with You from the punishment of the grave and from the afflictions
of Masiah Ad-Dajjal and from the afflictions of life and death. O Allah, I seek refuge with You from the sins and from being
in debt)." Somebody said to him, "Why do you so frequently seek refuge with Allah from being in debt?" The Prophet replied,
"A person in debt tells lies whenever he speaks, and breaks promises whenever he makes (them)." 'Aisha also narrated: I heard
Allah's Apostle in his prayer seeking refuge with Allah from the afflictions of Ad-Dajjal. (Bukhari)
Reciting Verses from the Qur'an
In multiple ahadeeth the Prophet (peace be upon him) told us to seek protection from the Dajjal in the first ten verses
of Surat Al-Kahf (the Cave, Chapter #18).
...He who among you will survive to see him should recite over him the opening verses of Surah al-Kahf... (Muslim)
Many people find the prophecies of the End of Time to be fascinating. Indeed, the companions, themselves (may Allah be
pleased with all of them), would frequently ask the Prophet (peace be upon him) about the Hour and the Signs of its coming.
But we should exercise caution. We should rely on authentic sources. Beware of sources which interpret the Qur'an and sunnah
as allegory. Beware of articles, texts, and speakers who claim that Dajjal is a device, or a concept, or a system. Though
he will have devices and technologies at his disposal which he will use to persecute those who do not follow him, and though
he will instill false concepts and ideas into the people, and though a system is currently being established which will welcome him when he arrives; he is only a man. Nothing more, nothing less.
Note: Prophet Mohammed has exhorted the regular recital of the opening verses (first 10) of Chapter Al-Kahf
of the Quran which will most certainly save one from the Evils of Dajjal.
Imraan bin Husain (R.A.) relates that, "I heard Prophet Mohammed saying: "Since the birth of Adam till the advent of the day of judgment there is no fitnah (evil, test) much greater that of Dajjal."
(R.A.) says, Dajjal will be blind in his left eye. He will have very thick hair on his body and he will also have his own
type of Jannah (Heaven) and Jahannam (Hell) with him: Although his heaven will appear amazingly beautiful, in reality it will
be hell and likewise though his hell will appear as extremely terrible, in reality it will be heaven. (Hadith: Muslim)
Imraan bin Husain (R.A.) says Prophet Mohammedsaid: "Those who hear about Dajjal should stay far from him. By Allah! A person
will approach him thinking him to be a Believer, but on seeing his amazing feats he will become his follower."
Saamit (R.A.) once said Prophet Mohammedsaid, "I have explained Dajjal to you but I fear that you might not have understood. Maseeh Dajjal will be short, and
his legs will be crooked. The hair on his head will be extremely twisted. He will have one eye (with which he can see, and
this is the protruding eye about which other Hadith inform us) while his other eye will be totally flat. It will neither be
deep (in its socket) nor protruding.
If you still
have any doubt regarding him then remember that your Sustainer (Rabb) is not one-eyed. (Because Dajjal will eventually claim
to be Allah).
dajjal has been alive since the days of the Prophet Mohammed, here is an extract from a lengthy Hadith stating this, Sahih Muslim Hadith - Hadith 7028 Narrated by
Fatimah, daughter of Qays and sister of ad-Dahhak ibn Qays: "He addressing the congregation in the mosque said: By Allah, I have not made you assemble for exhortation or for a warning.
I have detained you here because Tamim Dari, a Christian who came and accepted Islam, told me something which agrees with
what I was telling you about the Dajjal. He narrated to me that he had sailed in a ship with thirty men of Banu Lakhm and
Banu Judham and had been tossed by waves in the ocean for a month. Then these (waves) took them (near) the land within the
ocean (island) at the time of sunset. They sat in a small rowing-boat and landed on that island. There was a beast with long
thick hair (and because of this) they could not distinguish his face from his back.
Woe to you, who can you be?
it said: I am al-Jassasah.
What is al-Jassasah?
O people, go to this person in the monastery as he is very much eager to know about you."
He (the narrator)
said: When it named a person for us we were afraid of it lest it should be a Devil. Then we hurried on till we came to that
monastery and found a well-built person there with his hands tied to his neck and iron shackles gripping his legs by the ankles.
Woe to you, who are you?
You soon come to know about me, but tell me who you are.
We are people from Arabia and we embarked upon a boat but the waves had been driving us for one month and they brought us
near this island. We took to the rowing-boats and landed on this island. Here a beast with profusely thick hair met us and
because of the thickness of his hair his face could not be distinguished from his back. We said: Woe be to thee, who are you?
It said: I am al- Jassasah. We said: What is al-Jassasah? It said: You go to this very person in the monastery for he is eagerly
waiting for you to know about you. So we came to you in hot haste fearing that that might be the Devil.
chained person) said: Tell me about the date-palm trees of Baysan.
In which respect do you seek information about it?
I ask you whether these trees bear fruit or not.
he said: I think these will not bear fruit. He said: Inform me about the lake of Tabariyyah?
What do you want to know about it?
Is there water in it?
There is an abundance of water in it.
he said: I think it will soon dry up. He again said: Inform me about the spring of Zughar.
What do you want to know about it?
He (the chained
person) said: Is there water in it and does it irrigate (the land)?
We said to
him: Yes, there is an abundance of water in it and the inhabitants (of Medina) irrigate (land) with its help.
Inform me about the unlettered Prophet; what has he done?
He has left Mecca and has settled in Yathrib (Medina).
Do the Arabs fight against him?
How does he deal with him?
him that he had overcome those in his neighborhood and they had submitted themselves before him.
he said to us: Had it actually happened?
he said: If it is so that is better for them that they show obedience to him. I am going to tell you about myself. I am the
Dajjal and will be soon permitted to leave. So I shall leave and travel in the land, and shall not spare any town where I
shall not stay for forty nights except Mecca and Medina: these two (places) are prohibited (areas) for me and I shall not
attempt to enter either of them. An angel with a sword in his hand will confront me and bar my way and there will be angels
to guard every road leading to it.
apostle striking the pulpit with the help of the end of his staff said: This implies Tayba meaning Medina. Have I not told you
an account (of the Dajjal) like this? The people said: Yes, and this account narrated by Tamim Dari was liked by me for it
corroborates the account which I gave to you in regard to him (Dajjal) at Medina and Mecca. Behold he (Dajjal) is in the Syrian
sea (Mediterranean) or the Yemen sea (Arabian sea). Nay, on the contrary, he is in the east, he is in the east, he is in the
east, and he pointed with his hand towards the east. I (Fatimah bint Qays) said: I preserved it in my mind
In another lengthy Hadith narrated by Abu Saeed (R.A.), Prophet Mohammed is reported to have said: "Dajjal will come but it will be prohibited and impossible
for him to enter Madina or Mecca. He will set up camp in a barren land outside Madina. One person who will be the best of
persons will confront him by saying: "I bear witness that you are the very Dajjal about whom Prophet Mohammed has informed us."
say to his followers, "If I kill this person and then revive him, you people will still doubt me?"
will reply, "No."
He will then
kill this person, (according to another narration he will split this person in two) and thereafter revive him. This person
will say, "I am totally convinced more than ever before that you definitely are Dajjal."
will attempt to kill this person again but his efforts will now be in vain.
to a Hadith, after this incident, Dajjal will not be able to harm anyone.)
Anas (R.A.) says that Prophet Mohammed said: "Dajjal will come and finally reach the outskirts of Medina. There will be
three tremors. At that time, all the disbelievers and hypocrites will flee (from Medina).
this way Medina will be purified of all the evil hypocrites.
Asma bint Yazeed (R.A.) narrates that Prophet Mohammed once came to my house and there he spoke about Dajjal. He said that before the emergence
of Dajjal there will be three spells of drought. In one year the skies will withhold one third of its rains, causing the earth
to withhold one third of its produce. In the second year the skies will withhold two thirds of its rains, causing the earth
to withhold two thirds of its produce. In the third year, the skies will withhold all its water and there will be no crops
that year. All animals, be they hoofed or toothed, will die as a result. The greatest evil of Dajjal will be to approach anyone
and ask him: "If I bring your camel back to life, will you then believe that I am your Rabb?"
person will reply, "Most certainly."
Shaytaan (from the many Shayateen who will always accompany Dajjal) will appear before this person in the form of his camel
with a fat hump and fully laden udders.
Dajjal will appear before another person whose father and brother have long passed away and ask him, "If I bring your father
and brother back to life will you believe that I am your Rabb?"
person will reply, "Why not?"
will once again take on the appearance of his brother and father... (Ahmad)
Mughira ibn Shu'ba (R.A.) says that, "No one asked Prophet Mohammed about Dajjal as much as myself. Prophet Mohammed said to me, "How can he possibly harm you?"
I said: "People
are saying that he will have with him a mountain of bread (provisions) and a river of water."
Mohammed said: "In the sight of Allah he is much more disgraced than that. (i.e. Allah knows full well that in reality Dajjal
has nothing with him, and all that which appears to be with him is but deception). (Bukhari and Muslim).
More on Dajjal:
He will emerge
between Shaam and Iraq, and his emergence will become known when he is in Isfahaan at a place called Yahudea. The Yahudis
(Jews) of Isfahaan will be his main followers. Apart from having mainly Jewish followers, he will have a great number of
women followers as well. He will have with him fire and water, but in reality the fire will be cold water while that what
appears to be cold water will in reality be a blazing fire. Those who obey him will enter "his Jannat" while those who
disobey him will enter "his Jahannam." There will be a thick fingernail-like object in his left eye. The letters "Kaa"
"Faa" "Raa" will appear on his forehead and will be deciphered by all Mu'mineen regardless of them being literate or not. He
will have a wheatish complexion. He will travel at great speeds and his means of conveyance will be a gigantic mule. It
is said that he will play beautiful music. Despite his strange appearance he will appear pleasing for disbelievers and
weak in faith to look at. He will be able to charm people with the greatest of ease imaginable, and he will fascinate people
with his powers. Only the true believers will be able to see his real appearance, but despite this the Prophet strictly instructed the Muslims to leave the place if they hear he is nearby, and for protection to recite the opening verses
of Surah Al-Kahf from the Quran (scholars say first 10 verses would be sufficient).

"Those who seek repentance from my RABB-ALLAHUGHAFOOR & fear ALLAH, being headfull to all his commandments
in the final scripture, the Quranay Kareem, verily ALLAH shall forgive there sins and admit them into Jannuthul-Firdausay-ala,
inShALLAH (The highest Paradise). The place where rivers of milk and honey flow.
For protection against the Messiah Dajjal, I sincerely advise you to recite these following ayata-Shareef from
Surah Kahf upon him or even when his thought may occur, for your own safety and the safety of your loved ones. inshAllah
I am only a mortal like you. My Lord inspireth in me that your God is only One God. And whoever hopeth for the meeting with
his Lord, let him do righteous work, and make none sharer of the worship which is due to ALLAH the one and only!
Hudruth Ali KarmAllahwajhu Rahmuth-Allah-Alaih Salaam could deal with Muawia, [another issue]he had to face another
danger. Aisha, widow of the holy prophet, turned against him.
was gone for Hajj when Othman [also spelled Uthman] was slain. On her way back, she received the horrible news of his murder.
She went back to Mecca and addressed a public gathering. She
told the people how cruel it was on the part of the rioters to have killed the Caliph in cold blood in the holy city of the
prophet. She appealed to them to avenge the death of the late Caliph.
of men came out upon Aisha's call. The Governor of Mecca was one of them. In the meantime, Talha and Zubair also reached Mecca. They told Aisha what they had seen at Medina. They urged upon her the need for quick action against the rioters and assured her
of their support.
set out to Basra to win support, at the head of a big force.
More people joined her on the way. By the time she reached Basra,
there were three thousand men under her flag.
Governor of Basra sent men to find out the object of her visit. She told them she had come to tell people of their duty toward
the late Caliph. Then the messengers came to Talha and Zubair and put them the same question.
are out to avenge the death of Othman," they replied.
you have pledged loyalty to Ali," the messengers added.

Governor of Basra decided to oppose Aisha. He came out of the city with an army and got ready to fight. The two armies stood
face to face. Before the fighting began, Aisha made a stirring appeal to the feelings of the opposing army. Such was the force
of her speech that half the army of the Governor walked over to Aisha's side.
fighting began. By midday the next day the two sides made peace. They agreed to send a man to Medina. The man was to find out if Talha and Zubair had pledged loyalty to Ali of their own
free will, or under duress.
Kaab bin Thaur, the Chief judge of Basra, went to Medina.
He reached the city on a Friday. He made straight for the prophet's Mosque. Taking his stand before the people he said, "O
people, I have been sent by the people of Basra. I have come
all the way to find out if Talha and Zubair gave their pledge
Peace Talks Fail
Basra, Ali sent a man to Aisha to clear away the misunderstanding
she and her supporters had.
is it that you people really want?" the man asked them.
"We want nothing but the well-being of Muslims," they replied, "This is not possible till the death of Othman
has been avenged."
demand for revenge is very just," Ali's envoy went on. "But how can you lay hands on the mischief-mongers, without first making
the hands of the Caliph strong? If you really want to end trouble, gather under the banner of the Caliph. Do not plunge the
people into civil war. It is a question of the whole people. I hope you love peace and order rather than general suffering
Talha and Zubair were moved by the appeal.
Ali is really keen to avenge Othman's death," they declared, "Our differences can be easily settled."
envoy brought back hopeful news for the Caliph. With the envoy also came some men of Basra.
They wanted to make sure that Ali was not going to treat them like a fallen enemy. Ali assured them that they had nothing
hope of peace brightened. But in the army of Ali there were Abdullah bin Saba and his henchmen.
Peace was fatal to them. They were very much disturbed by what Ali had said after the envoy's return to Basra.
people," he said. "The greatest favour Allah did four us, is to give us unity, Unity made you strong and great. The enemies
of Islam did not like this. They have made a bid to shatter our unity. Beware of them. Tomorrow we will march to Basra with a peaceful aim. Those who took any part in Othman's murder
should part company with us."
bin Saba and his men were taken aback at this declaration. They met in a secret council.
is going to avenge Othman's death," they whispered to one another. "He now says what Talha, Zubair and Aisha say! We must
do something about it."
the following day, Ali marched off to Basra. Talha and Zubair
came out of the city with their army. The two armies lay facing each other for three days. Peace talks were going on. On the
third day, the top leaders of both sides had a face-to-face talk. Ali rode forward on his horse. From the other side came
Talha and Zubair on their horses. They stood face to face, the necks of their horses touching.
I not your brother?" said Ali, addressing the two. "Is not the blood of a Muslim sacred to another Muslim?"
you took part in the rising against Othman," retorted Talha.
but at the point of the sword," Talha spoke back.
you remember, O Zubair," said Ali, now addressing the second man, "that the Prophet of Allah, one day asked you if you loved
me. You said 'Yes', Thereupon the Prophet of Allah foretold that one day you would fight me for nothing.'
replied Zubair, "I now recall the words of the Prophet of Allah."
this conversation the three men went back to their camps. The conversation had brought their hearts closer to one another.
Each one had been set thinking seriously about the grim outcome of the civil war. The general feeling was that peace was now
clearly in sight.
went back to his camp very satisfied. He felt almost sure that bloodshed had been averted. At night he prayed to Allah to
save the Muslims the horrors of a civil war.
The Battle at Last
night came on. The armies lay in sound sleep, but Abdullah bin Saba and his henchmen set
up the whole night. This was their last chance. They must not let it slip by.
was still dark when the clang of steel rent the air. There was a sudden uproar. Saba and
his men had made a sudden attack on Aisha's army! Soon a full-dress battle was in full swing.
and Zubair were started by the uproar.
is this all about?" they asked.
army has made a night attack," they said.
they exclaimed, "Ali could not be stopped from shedding the blood of Muslims. We had this fear all the time."
became equally startled by the sudden outburst.
is the matter?" he asked.
and Zubair have taken us by surprise," replied the followers of Saba.
said Ali, "these gentlemen could not be stopped from killing Muslims, I had this fear all the time.'
fighting soon grew fierce. Hundreds fell on each side. Talha fell fighting. Zubair fled from the battlefield. The main army
of Aisha melted away but stiff fighting still raged round her camel. She sat in a howdah on the camel and directed the fight.
A huge crowd of devoted Muslims fought desperately for the honour of the Master's widow. One after another seventy men held
the nose string of the camel and laid down their lives.
heart bled at the sight. Precious lives of Muslims were being lost for nothing. At last the Caliph summoned Hadruth Al-Qa'aqa
to call for friendship and Unity among the two warring parties. Hadruth Al-Qa'aqa then called Hadruth Bujair ibn Dulja
to kill the camel, before the SweetHeart of RasoolALLAH SallALLAHwalaheewaSalim Ummul Momineen Tahira Humayra Aisha Siddeeqah
Radee-Allahu Anha gets injured. Hadruth Bujair then cut the camels leg and threw himself against it, pulling it
down. The beast fell on the forelegs and down came the howdah, with this ended the fighting.
was taken out of the howdah, with all the respect due to her. She was unhurt. Ali went to her and said, "How do you do, mother!"
all right," replied Aisha. "May Allah forgive your mistake!"
may he forgive your mistake too!" said Ali.
made a round of the battlefield. About ten thousand men from both sides had lost their lives. Ali felt deeply moved. He said
prayers for them all and buried them. He did not allow his men to take possession of the booty. The whole of it was collected
and was handed over to the people of Basra.
fleeing the field of battle Zubair was on his way to Mecca.
He stopped in a valley to say his prayer. When busy in prayer, he was slain by a man named Amr bin Jarmoz. Jarmoz brought
Zubair's arms to Ali. He hoped to get a reward for slaying the caliph's rival. But in place of a reward, he got a stern rebuke.
saw the owner of this sword fight for the Prophet of Allah several times," said Ali "I give his murderer the news of hell-fire,'
Aisha had rested in Basra some days, Ali sent her to Medina.
He sent her brother, Muhammad Abu Bakr, with her. As she was about to leave, a number of men gathered round her camel. She
addressed them and said, "My children, do not blame one another. By Allah, there was no enmity between Ali and me. It was
a mere family squabble. I consider Ali a good man."
this Ali replied, "she is perfectly right. Our differences were just a family affair. She occupies a very high place in the
faith. Both here and in the world to come, she is the honoured wife of the Prophet of Allah," Ali went many miles to see off
now said about restoring order in Basra. The city had been
up in arms against the caliph. But Ali declared a general amnesty. He gave a stirring address in the Jamia Mosque telling
people to be mindful of their duty to Allah. He took the pledge of loyalty from the people and appointed Abdullah Bin Abbas
as Governor of Basra.
Some leading men of the Banu Omayya
were in Basra when the city fell. The ill-famed Marwan was
also among them. These men went in to the bidding. The caliph came to know about them but he gave them the benefit for the
general amnesty. In time they escaped to Syria

and Significance of the First Ten Days of Dhul Hijjah
"By the Dawn! And the ten
nights! And the even and the odd!" (89:1/2/3)
Allah Ta'ala has endowed Friday to be the best day of the week, the month of
Ramadaan to be the best month of the year, and the last ten days of this month to be the best days of Ramadaan. Similarly
He has declared the first ten days of the month of Zii Hijj to be a period of exceptional benevolence.
As a mark
of distinction, Allah Ta'ala has manifested the sanctity of these "Ten Nights" in the Holy Quran. According to some learned
scholars of Islam, the "Ten Nights" refer to the last ten nights of Ramadaan or the first ten days of Muharram or the
last five odd nights of Ramadaan which includes the Night of Power, both the Eid Nights, Meraj, Arafaat and the 15th
of Shabaan. But the majority of scholars believe that the "Ten Nights" refer to the first ten nights of Dhul Hijjah. It
is for this reason that Hajj is performed during these days.
An additional significance of this month is the fact
that the day of Arafaat is found in it. The day of Arafaat falls on the ninth of Dhul Hijjah. The first ten days of
Dhul Hijjah are the most significant days of the year and the day of Arafaat is the most significant day of these ten days.
It is therefore the most significant day of the year. Allah Ta'ala bestows the greatest honour on His servants by forgiving
them. Success in the hereafter greatly depends on seeking forgiveness; this day is the day of forgiveness. Rasulullah
(Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) has said that a Muslim who fasts on the day of Arafaat has his minor sins of the year forgiven.
is yet another auspicious day in this blessed month, the day of sacrifice. This is the day on which Hazrat Ibraheem (Alayhis-Salaam)
was tested to sacrifice his beloved son, Hazrat Ismaeel (Alayhis-Salaam). To commemorate this event, Muslims have been
directed to sacrifice animals on this day so that all Muslims can remember this incident and learn a lesson from it.
Hence, this day, the 10th of Dhul Hijjah, is known as Eid-ul-Adha.
Rasulullah (Sallallaahu-Alayhi-Wasallam) has
observed that the first ten days of Dhul Hijjah is a period for offering invocations, supplications, prayers and other
Ibaadat performances. In these blessed days if one keeps a fast for one day one obtains the blessing for fasting for one
year and the reward for remembering Allah Ta'ala during one night of the ten nights is equal to the reward and blessings
of Laila-tul-Qadr (the Night of Power). These days are filled with special virtues and a virtuous deed performed in
this period is most pleasing to Allah Ta'ala. The hadith mentions the special significance and great excellence relating
to the first 10 days of Dhul Hijjah.
Hazrat Ibn Abbas (Radhiallahu-Anhu) relates that Rasulullah (Sallallahu-Alayhi-Wasallam)
said, "On no other days are good deeds more liked by Allah than on these days, the first ten days of Dhul Hijjah." The Sahaaba
asked, "O Rasulullah, not even Jihaad in the way of Allah Ta'ala?" Rasulullah (Sallallaahu-Alayhi-Wasallam) replied, "Not
even Jihaad in the way of Allah Ta'ala, except for that person who goes out to fight with his life and wealth and does
not return with anything." (BUKHARI)
It is reported from Abu Huraira (Radhiallahu-Anhu) that Rasulullah (Sallallaahu-Alayhi-Wasallam)
said, "On no days is the worship of Allah Ta'ala more loved than in the first 10 days of Dhul Hijjah. The fast of each
of these days is equal to the fast of a whole year, and the Ibaadat of each of these nights is equal to the Ibaadat of
Laila-tul-Qadr.' (TIRMIZI & IBN MAJAH)
It is related by Ibn Abbas (Radhiallahu-Anhu) that Rasulullah (Sallallaahu-Alayhi-Wasallam)
said, 'No days are as weighty with Allah and so liked by Him for good deeds than the first 10 days of Dhul Hijjah. So in
these days increasingly read TASBEEH (Subhanallah) TAHLEEL (La Ilaha Illallah), TAHMEED (Alhamdulillah) and TAKBEER (Allahu
Hazrat Abu Qatadah al-Ansari (Radhiallahu-Anhu) relates that Rasulullah (Sallallaahu-Alayhi-Wasallam)
was asked about the saum (fast) on the day of Arafaat (9th Dhul Hijjah). He said, "It compensates for the minor sins of
the past year and the coming year." (MUSLIM)
NOTE: This fast is Mustahab. There is no sin if it is not kept.
is related that Rasulullah (Sallallaahu-Alayhi-Wasallam) said, "Whoever stays awake and makes Ibaadat on the nights of
Eid-Ul-Fitr and Eid-Ul-Adha, his heart will not die on the day when all hearts will be dead." (TARGHEEB)
Muaaz lbn Jabal (Radhiallahu-Anhu) relates that Rasulullah (Sallallaahu-Alayhi-Wasallam) said, "Jannat is waajib for those
who stay awake with the intention of making Ibaadat on the following nights: 8th, 9th and 10th of Dhul Hijjah, the night
of Eid-ul-Fitr and the night of 15th Shabaan.' (TARGHEEB)
OF THE FIRST TEN DAYS OF ZUL-HIJJAH
Ibn Abbaas (Radhiyallaahu Anhu) relates that Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alayhi
Wasallam) said, 'On no other days are good deeds (Amal Salih) more liked by Allah than on these days - meaning the first
ten days of Zul-Hijjah'. The Sahaab asked, 'Oh` Rasulullah! not even Jihaad in the way of Allah?' Rasulullah (Sallallaahu
Alayhi Wasallam) replied, 'not even Jihaad in the way of Allah, except for that person who goes out to fight with his
life and wealth and does not return with anything'. (Bukhari)
Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) says, 'on NO
days is the worship of Allah desired more than in the first ten days of Zul-Hijjah. The fast of each of these days is
equal to the fast of a whole year, and the Ibaadat of each of these nights is equal to the Ibaadat of Laylatul Qadr'. (Tirmidhi

Abu Qatadah Al-Ansari RA relates that Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) was asked about the
Sawm (fast) on the day of Arafaat (9th Zul-Hijjah). He said, 'It compensates for the minor sins of the past year and
of the coming year'.
Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) has said, 'the most acceptable Du'a is that which
is made on the day of Arafah, and the best Du'a which the Prophet`s before me and I have said is: Laa Ilaaha illa llaahu
Wahadahoo laa Shareeka lahu, Lahul Mulku walahul Hamdu Wa Huwa Alaa kulli shay en Qadeer.
It is related from ibn
Abbaas RA that Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) said, 'no days are as weighty with Allah and so liked by Him for good

Subhanaka allahuma wa bihamdik ash hadu an laa illaha illa anta, astaghfiruka wa atoobu
Ibn 'Abbas reports that the
Messenger of Allaah (sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam) said, "No good deeds done on other days are superior to those done on these days [meaning the ten days of Dhul-Hijjah]."
The companions asked, "O Messenger of Allaah, not even jihad in the way of Allaah?" He said, "Not even jihad, except for
the man who puts his life and wealth in danger [for Allaah's sake] and returns with neither of them." [Bukhari, Tirmidhi)
Abu Hurairah relates that the Messenger of Allaah (sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam) said, "There are no days more loved to
Allaah for you to worship Him therein than the ten days of Dhul Hijja. Fasting any day during it is equivalent to fasting
one year and to offer salatul tahajjud (late-night prayer) during one of its nights is like performing the late night prayer
on the night of power. [i.e., Lailatul Qadr]." [This is related by at-Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah, and al-Baihaqi]
Day of Arafat
Hazrat Muaaz lbn Jabal (Radhiallahu-Anhu)
relates that Rasulullah (Sallallaahu-Alayhi-Wasallam) said, "Jannat is waajib for those who stay awake with the intention of making
Ibaadat on the following nights: 8th, 9th and 10th of Dhul Hijjah, the night of Eid-ul-Fitr and the night of 15th Shabaan.'
Abu Qatadah reported that the Messenger of Allaah (sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam) said, "Fasting on the day of 'Arafah
is an expiation for two years, the year preceding it and the year following it. Fasting the day of 'Ashurah is an expiation
for the year preceding it." [Muslim] Hafsah reported, "There are five things that the Messenger (sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam)
never abandoned: fasting the day of 'Ashurah, fasting the [first] 10 [days of Dhul-Hijjah], fasting 3 days of every month
(13th, 14th, 15th) and praying two rak'ah before the dawn prayer." [This is related by Ahmad and an-Nasa'i]
