Natural Oral Health Products compliments of:

  1. OZONE: Ozone, when used in therapeutic dosages has zero toxicity and no side effects. Our own immune system’s neutrophils (white blood cells) produce ozone to combat disease. One molecule of ozone has the equivalent antimicrobial strength to 5000 molecules of chlorine. Because of ozone’s negative charge, it has a tremendous affinity for inflammation and infection. Ozone gets pulled like a strong magnet towards the problem. And because it is a gas, it can diffuse everywhere. So ozone is incredibly powerful.

  2. IODINE: The great thing about the iodine treatment is the ease of application. Simply dry the teeth and apply Provo-iodine once every 2 months. This simple step aids in arresting harmful bacterial growth while killing the bacteria that have formed in a layer on our teeth. Coconut oil has been shown to prevent decay. Sunflower oil is used in traditional Ayurvedic oil pulling. We use 100% vegetable glycerine to avoid any toxicity

Product choice is important. We have worked to develop mindful, safe products which you can rely on.

The 5 uns of Water Fluoridation: Unproven, Unsafe, Unethical, Unnatural, and Unnecessary. Was an Amazing Speech given by Dr. Hardy Limeback and Mr. Peter Van Caulart at theTotal Health Show (Toronto, April 4 – 6, 2014),
I hope some one will write a book on it soon.
Why can't the Government use OZONE to purify water instead, or just use  LIVING WATER PURIFIERS?

Finally the long awaited gorgeous summery days are upon us. As the temperature increases, we rather see you quench your thirst with an exquisite health promoting option, the Medical Grade Ozone Water, rather than “energy” drinks that are sold in pharmacies and grocery stores. This water is naturally refreshing and instantly re-energizing. There are 99 outstanding benefits to the consumption of Medical Grade Ozone Water.

We do not like to preach but if you know of anyone who should revisit their consumption of “fizzy” (slizzy) drinks, the information below will come handy!

According to the article in The Telegraph, the fizzy drinks:

1. Increase our risk of cancer
2. Raise our risk of heart disease
3. Lead to diabetes
4. Cause liver damage
5. Make us violent
6. Cause premature birth in pregnant women
7. Change your brain
8. Cause premature aging
9. Cause early puberty
10. Make us fat
11. Increase our risk of Alzheimer's

You may like to read the whole report on the warnings issued by scientists regarding daily consumption of soft drinks “11 reasons to renounce your fizzy drink habit” here.
What is ozone? Ozone is a highly reactive form of oxygen that stimulates an oxidative reaction in the body which causes profound beneficial effects. Frank Schallenberg states that if Ozone was a big Pharma drug it would be the leading selling drug in the world!

Red Rose, Spinning

Mental illness is a Spiritual problem!, not a biological problem. Giving drugs to fix the brain of mentally ill people is like overhauling the engine of a car because the driver keeps hitting telephone poles. Imagine you have a habit of driving your car into the ditch. Each time this happens, you take the car to a mechanic who tells you the problem is a bad engine and recommends overhauling it. He tells you his scientific diagnostic instruments say there is no sign of a chemical imbalance inside the engine and all is OK. But he believes the engine (brain of the car) needs a costly overhaul.

Satanic MDs possessed with making a fortune from your DEAD BODY and Wicked Psychiatrists prescribe drugs, leading to your BRAIN DEATH, try your best to avoid making the greatest mistake of your life, by agreeing

to meet with them, after your  interview with them they shall make up a FRAUDAULENT PROPAGANDA Consultation Report making you appear as a crazy LUNATIC that needs to be put on drugs, and/or hospitalized, these evil people may then laugh and think of themselves as the" LIE-INS" and you as their Lamb, after you become brain dead / and or end up missing they shall then sell your body to the Evil Surgeons. So don't be like the Goldfish in the aquarium, taking what ever Satanic Pills they may prescribe!,  and watch the REAL STORY( of what inspired the movie "Silence of the Lambs" before you take the risk of meeting them, if you ignore my words, you may feel like the Ben Richards (Arnold) from the movie: The Running Man!
I suggest we have a vote, during the elections if Canadians would rather be given prescribed coupons to purchase medicine from the health food store, rather then going to a doctor to get the dangerous side-effects causing prescription drugs, which the Government at the moment, is more fond in funding.
This website offers a much better way to improve mental health conditions:
I hope our honorable Ministers of Health will start introducing in Canada, doctors that can fix fingers without having to resort to the  surgery, inshALLAH

 Protection from blindness

My Dear Islamic Brothers! I will bring to your attention such a disease in which the real moisture of the eyes become less or finishes completely and the patient eventually becomes blind.

Physicians have researched that if the eyebrows are wet frequently then one can be protected from this dangerous diseaseAlhamdu-Lillah !

The one who performs Wudhu and washes his face means that his eyebrows will also become wet.

Those lucky individuals who have decorated their faces with the beautiful beard should listen carefully as Professor George Ail states, 'When one washes the face and the beard, the bacteria on the face and the beard are cleansed.

The roots of the hair will become strong when water reaches them. If one passes the fingers through the beard (with the intention of acting upon the Sunnah) he will not get nits.

Not only that but if one leaves water in the beard, he will be saved from pain in the veins in the neck, thyroid gland and other such illnesses of the neck
The hidden part of Wudhu

' When you have done Wudhu and you are ready to pray your Salaah, consider that you have purified most parts of your body which others can see, but have you purified your hearts which Allah will see.
You should have shame if you pray to Allah and your heart is not clean.
Your heart is purified by repenting and not committing bad actions or things and it is better to adopt good things.
The example of the one who cleans his outer self and doesn't pure his inner self is like the person
Who invited the king to this house and to greet him, he decorates and cleans his garden but leaves the inside of his house dirty. This person is not entitled to being rewarded; he is only entitled to the king's anger.
Seminar in Western Germany

Depression is on the rise in the western countries and more mental asylums are becoming full with patients. Psychiatrists are always investigating cures for depression. A Pakistani psychiatrist who holds a diploma in Western Germany states, 'A seminar took place in Western Germany on a cure for depression without the need of [Banned Word Used].' A doctor attended this seminar and surprised the audience by saying that he was treating his patients by making them wash their face 5 times a day and within a short period of time the treatment started to have an effect. He then treated another group of patients by making them wash their hands, feet and face 5 times a day and they also started to recover from their illnesses. At the end of the speech the doctor said, 'I confess that fewer Muslims suffer from depression as they wash their hands, face, and feet many times in a day by performing Wudhu.'

Wudhu and high blood pressure

A heart specialist says with importance that those who have high blood pressure should be made to perform Wudhu and most definitely, the blood pressure will become normal. A Muslim doctor says, 'The best cure for depression is Wudhu.' Western doctors treat their patients by placing water on some parts of their body, which is just like Wudhu.

Wudhu and paralysis

While performing Wudhu, the body parts are washed in a certain order and there are many benefits regarding this.  When the hands are washed first, the nerves become aware of the water. Slowly, the effects travel to the face and the veins of the brain. The one who washes his hands first during Wudhu followed by rinsing of the mouth and sniffing of the nose, then washing the face followed by the rest of the body parts is saved from becoming paralysed. If the individual starts Wudhu by washing his face and neck first, he/she will have many illnesses.

Dear Friends did you know that one of the most remarkable duels in history took place during the Battle of the Ditch between Ali bin Abi Taalib and Amr bin Abdu Wud. Amr (We shall call him the Giant!) was a huge man of a tremendous height and bulk, and while on his feet would tower above his fellow men. Sitting on his great horse, he looked positively unreal. Big, strong and fearless, he had a fierce countenance--an aspect which thrilled his comrades and dismayed his enemies.

Amr stood motionless as he let his gaze wander scornfully over the ranks of the Muslims. Suddenly the Giant raised his head and roared, "I am Amr bin Abdu Wud. I am the greatest warrior in Arabia. I am invincible. Is there anyone among you who has the courage to meet me in personal combat?" The challenge was received by the Muslims in silence. They looked at one another. They looked at the Holy Prophet. But no one moved, for the Giant was famous for his strength and skill, and though wounded several times, had never yet lost a duel, nor spared an opponent. It was said that he was equal to 500 horsemen; that he could lift a horse bodily and hurl it to the ground; that he could pick up a calf with his left hand and use it as a shield in combat. The vivid Arab imagination had created around this formidable warrior a legend of invincibility. So the Muslims remained silent, and the Giant laughed with contempt--a laugh in which the Quraish also joined, for they stood quite close to the ditch and could see and hear all that went on. "So is there none among you who has the courage of a man? And what of your Islam? And your Prophet?" At this blasphemous taunt, Ali left his position in the front rank of the Muslims, approached the Holy Prophet and sought permission to engage the challenger and silence his insolent tongue once and for all. The Prophet replied, "Sit down. This is Amr!" Ali returned to his position. There was another burst of scornful laughter, more taunts, and another challenge. Again Ali went up to the Prophet. Again the Prophet declined permission. More laughter, more taunts. Again the challenge from Amr, and this time more insulting than before. "Where is your paradise?" He shouted, "Of which you say that those who lose in battle will enter it? Can you not send a man to fight me?" When for the third time Ali moved towards the Prophet, the Prophet saw in Ali's eyes a look which he knew well; and he knew that Ali could no longer be restrained. He looked at Ali fondly, for Ali was dearer to him than any other man. He took off his turban and wound it around Ali's head. He next took off his sword and girded it at Ali's waist. And he prayed: "O Lord! Help him!? Now in Ali's hand, was the sword to become the most famous in Islam, killing more men in fair combat than any sword in history. This was the Zulfiqar. Ali hastily collected a small group of Muslims and strode out towards the unbelievers. The group stopped at some distance from the Giant, and Ali stepped forward and got to within dueling distance of the challenger. The Giant knew Ali well. He had been a friend of Ali's father, Abu Taalib. He now smiled indulgently at Ali as a man might smile at a boy. "O Amr!" called Ali. "It is believed that if any man of the Quraish offers you two proposals, you always accept at least one of them." "True." "Then I have two proposals to offer you. The first is: accept Allah and His Messenger and Islam." "I have no need of them." "Then dismount from your horse and fight me." "Why, O son of my brother? I have no desire to kill you." "But I", replied Ali, "Have a great desire to kill you!" The Giant's face flushed with anger. With a cry of rage he sprang off his horse, displaying a degree of agility surprising in so huge a monster. He hamstrung his horse, drew his sword and rushed at Ali. The fight was on. Amr struck at Ali many times, but Ali remained unharmed. He would parry the blow with his sword or shield or nimbly step aside to let the Giant's sword whistle past him harmlessly. At last the Giant stood back, panting and baffled. He wondered how this could be. Never before had any man survived so long in personal combat against him. And now this boy was looking at him as if he was playing a game! Then things happened so fast that no one could quite follow the sequence. Ali dropped his sword and shield to the ground; his body shot through the air like a missile and his hands grasped the Giant's throat; with a wrestler's kick he knocked the Giant off balance, and the Giant came crashing to the ground-all in a matter of seconds. Now the Giant lay on his back with Ali sitting astride his chest. The two armies gasped and murmured, then held their breath. The bewilderment on the Giant's face changed to fury. At last he had been thrown, and by this young upstart who was less than half his size! But although he was down, he was not finished. He would still win the battle and re-establish his position as the greatest warrior in Arabia. He would toss this youngster into the air as a leaf is tossed by the wind. The Giant's face went purple, the veins stood out on his neck and his huge biceps and forearms trembled as he strained to break Ali's grip. But he could not move it an inch. There was the quality of steel in the muscles of Ali. "Know, O Amr", said Ali gently, "that victory and defeat depend upon the will of Allah. Accept Islam! Thus not only will your life be spared, but you will also enjoy the blessings of Allah in this life and the next." Ali drew a sharp dagger from his waistband and held it close to Amr's throat. But this was more than the Giant could take. Was he whom Arabia considered her greatest champion to live the rest of his life under the shadow of defeat and disgrace? Was it to be said of him that he saved his life in personal combat by submitting to the conditions of his opponent? No! He, Amr bin Abdu Wud, had lived by the sword. He would perish by the sword. A life spent in violence must end with violence. He gathered the spittle in his mouth and spat into the face of Ali! He knew what would happen. He knew that there would be a sharp intake of breath, that Ali's right arm would shoot into the air and then plunge the dagger into his throat. Amr was a brave man and could face death without flinching. He arched his back and raised his chin to offer his throat to Ali, for he knew what was to come. But what happened next left him even more bewildered. Ali rose calmly from Amr's chest, wiped his face, and stood a few paces away, gazing solemnly at his adversary. "Know, O Amr, I only kill in the way of Allah and not for any private motive. Since you spat in my face, my killing you now may be from a desire for personal vengeance. So I spare your life. Rise and return to your people!" The Giant rose. But there was no question of his returning to his people a loser. He would live a victor, or not at all. Intending to make one last attempt at victory, he picked up his sword and rushed at Ali. Perhaps he would catch Ali unaware. Ali had just enough time to pick up his sword and shield and prepare for the fresh assault. The blow which the Giant now delivered in furious desperation was the most savage blow of the encounter. His sword shattered Ali's shield, but in doing so lost its force and impetus, and could then do no more than inflict a shallow cut on Ali's temple. The wound was too slight to worry Ali. Before the Giant could raise his sword again, the Zulfiqar flashed in the sunlight, and it's tip slashed open the Giant's throat. The blood of the Giant gushed forth like a fountain. For a moment the Giant stood motionless. Then his body began to sway as if he was drunk. And then he fell on his face with a crash and lay still. The earth did not shake with the impact of that colossal body. The earth is too big. But the hill of Sil'a shook with the cry of Allah-o-Akbar that thundered from 2,000 Muslim throats. The triumphant cry echoed through the length and breadth of the valley before it faded away into the stillness of the desert. Description of the connection and relationship of Nabi Muhammad (s.a.s) with Hazrat Ali bin Abi T‚leb (r.a.)

taken from Rawza Tus-Saf‚

by Sheikh Syed Mubarak Ali Jilani Al-Hashmi

The connection of 'Ali -- the commander of the faithful with the Nabi -- originiated in the family of Abdul-Muttalleb, Ali having been the son of Abu T‚leb, the son of Abdul-Muttalleb, the son of H‚shem whose name was Umar, called Omr‚n the high, on account of his dignity. During a year of famine and hardship Omr‚n had gone to Syria, and thence imported bread, on an infinite number of dromedaries, to the sanctuary, so that every day two camels were slaughtered and roasted; and the dry breads, having been moistened, were distributed twice daily. He was the first among the Arabs who invited guests to a repast prepared of moistened bread, and therefore surnamed H‚shem. Other chroniclers, again, have said that H‚shem means one who breaks bread in a cup to make it a kind of porridge, but the difference between the two meanings is obvious. Hashem was proverbial for his liberality and unrivalled in gracefullness; the luminous beams of distinction radiated in such a manner from his forehead that whoever beheld his countenance had not the boldness to contemplate it, but looked to the ground. This the Christian sovereigns knew from their sacred books, and wished to enter into connection with him. One of these was Harql (Heraclius, the Byzantine emperor), who sent him an ambassador and offered him a virgin whom he guarded in his private apartments, but H‚shem refrained from complying with his petition. Afterwards, however, he entered --in consequence of a dream he had -- into a matrimonial alliance, at Madinah, with Solma, one of the noblest ladies of the Bani Najjar, who was decorated with the ornaments of intellect and sagacity, on condition that her confinement should take place in her own house. After the consummation of the marriage the lady was taken to Makkah, but on her becoming pregnant with Abdul-Muttalleb she was on account of the condition again conveyed back to Madinah, but after she had given birth to Abdul-Muttalleb, Hashem went to Syria, fell sick in the vicinity of Damascus, and gave directions in his last agony to surrender the bow to the Prophet Esma'il, the banner, and the key of the house of the Ka'bah, which he had inherited from his forefathers, to Abdul-Muttalleb, and having, though young, bidden farewell to his perishable world, he was buried in that country, where his tomb is still known and visited. Some say that H‚shem went to Syria before the birth of Abdul-Muttalleb, and that he had himself given the just-mentioned articles to his brother Muttalleb, to whom he had also transferred the gubernatorial office, whilst the latter, in his turn, surrendered everything to Abdul-Muttalleb. But Muttalleb was the son of Abd Mun‚f whose name was [also] Moghairah and surname Abdush-Shams, but Mun‚f was likewise the name of an idol. On account of his great beauty, he was also named Qamar [full moon], and because he had inherited the sovereignty from his father, the surrounding kings hastened to join Abd Mun‚f. He had four sons: one of them was H‚shem, about whom some circumstances have already been mentioned above. Abdush-Shams was the ancester of the Bani Ummayya [called Ommiade Khalifs by European authors]; Naufil was the forefather of habib, the son of Mu'azim, and Muttalleb of Ali Shafa'i; the latter was thus surnamed because it is related that H‚shem and Abdush-Shams were twins, whose foreheads were connected at their birth and could not be separated, until at last the sword was resorted to. An intellignet man, who had been informed of this proceeding, considered it to be a sign that the descendants of the two brothers would decide their quarrels with the sabre, which prediction was actually fulfilled in the enmity between his lordship the Nabi (s.a.s.) and Abu Sufyan, between Ali (r.a.a.) the select and Mu'awiah, and between the Im‚m Hussain (r.a.a.) and Yazid.

Documents of the Right Word       Paperback - 496 pages
Extract from the Preface :  Rasulullah 'sall-allahu alaihi wasallam' made statements warning Muslims against these catastrophes awaiting them. He said, for one, "My Umma will be divided into seventy- three groups. Of these groups, only those who follow me and my Ashab shall escape Hell." Fortunately, most of the seventy-two groups who are to go to  Hell are extinct today. Hundreds of millions of Muslims on the earth now are only in  the three remaining groups, i.e. Sunnis, Shiis, and Wahhabis. If these three groups  of Muslims today do not take measures of conciliation and co-operation with one  another, if they prefer to abuse one another, the enemies of Islam will gain grounds to defile Islam, to divide Muslims into yet other groups, and to mislead young people out of Islam by using all sorts of lies and slanders.

This seems like a great book, If your planning to order one from U.K,  I suggest you request them to send it to you via PILOT COURIER, because that company is owned by my muslim friend Mr. Mian Igbal,  he shall give you a discount, inSHALLAH, below I've listed his business link:

Protection from al-Masih ad-Dajjal

It must be said. And it must be said clearly. Al-Masih ad-Dajjal (the AntiChrist or False Messiah) is a human being, a man. Nothing more. I have heard it said on multiple occasions from the mouths of Muslims that the Dajjal is the computer, or the internet, or the US dollar bill, or the television. This is incorrect. We have been warned numerous times in the Qur'an and in the ahadeeth to never speak without knowledge. And this is a dangerous subject to throw in opinions and conjecture.

Know the Characteristics of the Dajjal

Though not mentioned in the Qur'an, al-Masih ad-Dajjal is often mentioned in the ahadeeth. The Prophet (peace be upon him) described the Dajjal in great detail. Through his description we know what the Dajjal will look like, where he will first appear, who will follow him, what he will do once he gets here, and how he will be killed. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said:

I have told you so much about the Dajjal (Antichrist) that I am afraid you may not understand. The Antichrist is short, hen-toed, woolly-haired, one-eyed, an eye-sightless, and neither protruding nor deep-seated. If you are confused about him, know that your Lord is not one-eyed. (Abu Dawood)

We know that he will be a man. He will be blind in one eye. His hair will be curly and he will be short. The believers, whether literate or illiterate, will be able to read the letters kaaf, faa, raa (spelling kaafir or "disbeliever"), written between his two eyes.

The Dajjal will claim to be Messiah and then claim to be Allah, Himself. He will perform miracles. He will traverse the earth in short periods of time. He will exert control over weather patterns, sending down rain upon those who believe in him. He will exert a similar influence over crops and livestock. He will only be able to do this because Allah, in all of His Power and Wisdom, will allow him to do so, not because the Dajjal has any power unto himself. He will serve as a massive trial for humanity. We must learn how to protect ourselves. Read and study the ahadeeth regarding the Dajjal to learn his characteristics and what he will call to. Then, practice the following:

Avoid the Dajjal

The Prophet (peace be upon him) warned that the Dajjal would be the greatest fitnah or trial mankind would know.

There would be no creation (creating more trouble) than the Dajjal right from the creation of Adam to the Last Hour. (Muslim)

Being such a fierce trial, even the believer who is sure that this is Dajjal is instructed to avoid him.

Whoever hears of (the appearance of) the Dajjal, let him stay away from him. By Allah! A man will come to him, thinking himself to be a believer, but will follow him because of doubts he will raise. (Bukhari, Muslim, Abu Dawood, and Ahmad)

Du'aat or Supplications

It is known that the Prophet (peace be upon him) made du'a seeking protection from the Dajjal. While still seated, prior to the tasleem in the last rakah of each prayer he sought refuge in Allah from debt, the trials of the grave, the trials of life and death, and the trial of al-Masih ad-Dajjal. Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her)said:

Allah's Apostle used to invoke Allah in the prayer saying "Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min adhabil-qabri, wa a'udhu bika min fitnatil-masihid-dajjal, wa a'udhu bika min fitnatil-mahya wa fitnatil-mamati. Allahumma inni a'udhu bika minal-ma thami wal-maghrami. (O Allah, I seek refuge with You from the punishment of the grave and from the afflictions of Masiah Ad-Dajjal and from the afflictions of life and death. O Allah, I seek refuge with You from the sins and from being in debt)." Somebody said to him, "Why do you so frequently seek refuge with Allah from being in debt?" The Prophet replied, "A person in debt tells lies whenever he speaks, and breaks promises whenever he makes (them)." 'Aisha also narrated: I heard Allah's Apostle in his prayer seeking refuge with Allah from the afflictions of Ad-Dajjal. (Bukhari)

Reciting Verses from the Qur'an

In multiple ahadeeth the Prophet (peace be upon him) told us to seek protection from the Dajjal in the first ten verses of Surat Al-Kahf (the Cave, Chapter #18).

...He who among you will survive to see him should recite over him the opening verses of Surah al-Kahf... (Muslim)

Many people find the prophecies of the End of Time to be fascinating. Indeed, the companions, themselves (may Allah be pleased with all of them), would frequently ask the Prophet (peace be upon him) about the Hour and the Signs of its coming. But we should exercise caution. We should rely on authentic sources. Beware of sources which interpret the Qur'an and sunnah as allegory. Beware of articles, texts, and speakers who claim that Dajjal is a device, or a concept, or a system. Though he will have devices and technologies at his disposal which he will use to persecute those who do not follow him, and though he will instill false concepts and ideas into the people, and though a system is currently being established which will welcome him when he arrives; he is only a man. Nothing more, nothing less.

    Who is the evil Dajjal

By Mohammed Ali Ibn Zubair Ali

Note: Prophet Mohammed has exhorted the regular recital of the opening verses (first 10) of Chapter Al-Kahf of the Quran which will most certainly save one from the Evils of Dajjal.

Imraan bin Husain (R.A.) relates that, "I heard Prophet Mohammed saying: "Since the birth of Adam till the advent of the day of judgment there is no fitnah (evil, test) much greater that of Dajjal."

Huzaifah (R.A.) says, Dajjal will be blind in his left eye. He will have very thick hair on his body and he will also have his own type of Jannah (Heaven) and Jahannam (Hell) with him: Although his heaven will appear amazingly beautiful, in reality it will be hell and likewise though his hell will appear as extremely terrible, in reality it will be heaven.
    (Hadith: Muslim)

Imraan bin Husain (R.A.) says Prophet Mohammedsaid: "Those who hear about Dajjal should stay far from him. By Allah! A person will approach him thinking him to be a Believer, but on seeing his amazing feats he will become his follower."

Ubadah bin Saamit (R.A.) once said Prophet Mohammed said, "I have explained Dajjal to you but I fear that you might not have understood. Maseeh Dajjal will be short, and his legs will be crooked. The hair on his head will be extremely twisted. He will have one eye (with which he can see, and this is the protruding eye about which other Hadith inform us) while his other eye will be totally flat. It will neither be deep (in its socket) nor protruding.

If you still have any doubt regarding him then remember that your Sustainer (Rabb) is not one-eyed. (Because Dajjal will eventually claim to be Allah).

The dajjal has been alive since the days of the Prophet Mohammed, here is an extract from a lengthy Hadith stating this, Sahih Muslim Hadith - Hadith 7028 Narrated by Fatimah, daughter of Qays and sister of ad-Dahhak ibn Qays:
He addressing the congregation in the mosque said: By Allah, I have not made you assemble for exhortation or for a warning. I have detained you here because Tamim Dari, a Christian who came and accepted Islam, told me something which agrees with what I was telling you about the Dajjal. He narrated to me that he had sailed in a ship with thirty men of Banu Lakhm and Banu Judham and had been tossed by waves in the ocean for a month. Then these (waves) took them (near) the land within the ocean (island) at the time of sunset. They sat in a small rowing-boat and landed on that island. There was a beast with long thick hair (and because of this) they could not distinguish his face from his back.

They said: Woe to you, who can you be?

Thereupon it said: I am al-Jassasah.

    They said: What is al-Jassasah?

It said:" O people, go to this person in the monastery as he is very much eager to know about you."

He (the narrator) said: When it named a person for us we were afraid of it lest it should be a Devil. Then we hurried on till we came to that monastery and found a well-built person there with his hands tied to his neck and iron shackles gripping his legs by the ankles.

We said: Woe to you, who are you?

He said: You soon come to know about me, but tell me who you are.

We said: We are people from Arabia and we embarked upon a boat but the waves had been driving us for one month and they brought us near this island. We took to the rowing-boats and landed on this island. Here a beast with profusely thick hair met us and because of the thickness of his hair his face could not be distinguished from his back. We said: Woe be to thee, who are you? It said: I am al- Jassasah. We said: What is al-Jassasah? It said: You go to this very person in the monastery for he is eagerly waiting for you to know about you. So we came to you in hot haste fearing that that might be the Devil.

He (that chained person) said: Tell me about the date-palm trees of Baysan.

We said: In which respect do you seek information about it?

He said: I ask you whether these trees bear fruit or not.

    We said: Yes.

Thereupon he said: I think these will not bear fruit.
He said: Inform me about the lake of Tabariyyah?

We said: What do you want to know about it?

He said: Is there water in it?

We said: There is an abundance of water in it.

Thereupon he said: I think it will soon dry up.
He again said: Inform me about the spring of Zughar.

They said: What do you want to know about it?

He (the chained person) said: Is there water in it and does it irrigate (the land)?

We said to him: Yes, there is an abundance of water in it and the inhabitants (of Medina) irrigate (land) with its help.

He said: Inform me about the unlettered Prophet; what has he done?

We said: He has left Mecca and has settled in Yathrib (Medina).

He said: Do the Arabs fight against him?

    We said: Yes.

He said: How does he deal with him?

We informed him that he had overcome those in his neighborhood and they had submitted themselves before him.

Thereupon he said to us: Had it actually happened?

    We said: Yes.

Thereupon he said: If it is so that is better for them that they show obedience to him. I am going to tell you about myself. I am the Dajjal and will be soon permitted to leave. So I shall leave and travel in the land, and shall not spare any town where I shall not stay for forty nights except Mecca and Medina: these two (places) are prohibited (areas) for me and I shall not attempt to enter either of them. An angel with a sword in his hand will confront me and bar my way and there will be angels to guard every road leading to it.

Then Allah's apostle striking the pulpit with the help of the end of his staff said: This implies Tayba meaning Medina. Have I not told you an account (of the Dajjal) like this? The people said: Yes, and this account narrated by Tamim Dari was liked by me for it corroborates the account which I gave to you in regard to him (Dajjal) at Medina and Mecca. Behold he (Dajjal) is in the Syrian sea (Mediterranean) or the Yemen sea (Arabian sea). Nay, on the contrary, he is in the east, he is in the east, he is in the east, and he pointed with his hand towards the east. I (Fatimah bint Qays) said: I preserved it in my mind

In another lengthy Hadith narrated by Abu Saeed (R.A.), Prophet Mohammed is reported to have said: "Dajjal will come but it will be prohibited and impossible for him to enter Madina or Mecca. He will set up camp in a barren land outside Madina. One person who will be the best of persons will confront him by saying: "I bear witness that you are the very Dajjal about whom Prophet Mohammed has informed us."

Dajjal will say to his followers, "If I kill this person and then revive him, you people will still doubt me?"

     They will reply, "No."

He will then kill this person, (according to another narration he will split this person in two) and thereafter revive him. This person will say, "I am totally convinced more than ever before that you definitely are Dajjal."

Dajjal will attempt to kill this person again but his efforts will now be in vain.

(According to a Hadith, after this incident, Dajjal will not be able to harm anyone.)

Anas (R.A.) says that Prophet Mohammed said: "Dajjal will come and finally reach the outskirts of Medina. There will be three tremors. At that time, all the disbelievers and hypocrites will flee (from Medina).

In this way Medina will be purified of all the evil hypocrites.

Asma bint Yazeed (R.A.) narrates that Prophet Mohammed once came to my house and there he spoke about Dajjal. He said that before the emergence of Dajjal there will be three spells of drought. In one year the skies will withhold one third of its rains, causing the earth to withhold one third of its produce. In the second year the skies will withhold two thirds of its rains, causing the earth to withhold two thirds of its produce. In the third year, the skies will withhold all its water and there will be no crops that year. All animals, be they hoofed or toothed, will die as a result. The greatest evil of Dajjal will be to approach anyone and ask him: "If I bring your camel back to life, will you then believe that I am your Rabb?"

This person will reply, "Most certainly."

Thereafter Shaytaan (from the many Shayateen who will always accompany Dajjal) will appear before this person in the form of his camel with a fat hump and fully laden udders.

Likewise Dajjal will appear before another person whose father and brother have long passed away and ask him, "If I bring your father and brother back to life will you believe that I am your Rabb?"

This person will reply, "Why not?"

Shaytaan will once again take on the appearance of his brother and father...

Mughira ibn Shu'ba (R.A.) says that, "No one asked Prophet Mohammed about Dajjal as much as myself. Prophet Mohammed said to me, "How can he possibly harm you?"

I said: "People are saying that he will have with him a mountain of bread (provisions) and a river of water."

Prophet Mohammed said: "In the sight of Allah he is much more disgraced than that. (i.e. Allah knows full well that in reality Dajjal has nothing with him, and all that which appears to be with him is but deception). (Bukhari and Muslim).

    More on Dajjal:

He will emerge between Shaam and Iraq, and his emergence will become known when he is in Isfahaan at a place called Yahudea.
The Yahudis (Jews) of Isfahaan will be his main followers.
Apart from having mainly Jewish followers, he will have a great number of women followers as well.
He will have with him fire and water, but in reality the fire will be cold water while that what appears to be cold water will in reality be a blazing fire.
Those who obey him will enter "his Jannat" while those who disobey him will enter "his Jahannam."
There will be a thick fingernail-like object in his left eye.
The letters "Kaa" "Faa" "Raa" will appear on his forehead and will be deciphered by all Mu'mineen regardless of them being literate or not.
He will have a wheatish complexion.
He will travel at great speeds and his means of conveyance will be a gigantic mule. It is said that he will play beautiful music.
Despite his strange appearance he will appear pleasing for disbelievers and weak in faith to look at. He will be able to charm people with the greatest of ease imaginable, and he will fascinate people with his powers.
Only the true believers will be able to see his real appearance, but despite this the Prophet strictly instructed the Muslims to leave the place if they hear he is nearby, and for protection to recite the opening verses of Surah Al-Kahf from the Quran (scholars say first 10 verses would be sufficient).

    The Battle of the Camel

Before Hudruth Ali KarmAllahwajhu Rahmuth-Allah-Alaih Salaam could deal with Muawia, [another issue]he had to face another danger. Aisha, widow of the holy prophet, turned against him.

Aisha was gone for Hajj when Othman [also spelled Uthman] was slain. On her way back, she received the horrible news of his murder. She went back to Mecca and addressed a public gathering. She told the people how cruel it was on the part of the rioters to have killed the Caliph in cold blood in the holy city of the prophet. She appealed to them to avenge the death of the late Caliph.

Hundreds of men came out upon Aisha's call. The Governor of Mecca was one of them. In the meantime, Talha and Zubair also reached Mecca. They told Aisha what they had seen at Medina. They urged upon her the need for quick action against the rioters and assured her of their support.

Aisha set out to Basra to win support, at the head of a big force. More people joined her on the way. By the time she reached Basra, there were three thousand men under her flag.

The Governor of Basra sent men to find out the object of her visit. She told them she had come to tell people of their duty toward the late Caliph. Then the messengers came to Talha and Zubair and put them the same question.

"We are out to avenge the death of Othman," they replied.

"But you have pledged loyalty to Ali," the messengers added.

"All the same, we must have kept the pledge if Ali had avenged Othman's death, or even if he had allowed us to do that." The leaders added.

The Governor of Basra decided to oppose Aisha. He came out of the city with an army and got ready to fight. The two armies stood face to face. Before the fighting began, Aisha made a stirring appeal to the feelings of the opposing army. Such was the force of her speech that half the army of the Governor walked over to Aisha's side.

The fighting began. By midday the next day the two sides made peace. They agreed to send a man to Medina. The man was to find out if Talha and Zubair had pledged loyalty to Ali of their own free will, or under duress.

So Kaab bin Thaur, the Chief judge of Basra, went to Medina. He reached the city on a Friday. He made straight for the prophet's Mosque. Taking his stand before the people he said, "O people, I have been sent by the people of Basra. I have come all the way to find out if Talha and Zubair gave their pledge

    Peace Talks Fail

Reaching Basra, Ali sent a man to Aisha to clear away the misunderstanding she and her supporters had.

"What is it that you people really want?" the man asked them.

"We want nothing but the well-being of Muslims," they replied, "This is not possible till the death of Othman has been avenged."

"The demand for revenge is very just," Ali's envoy went on. "But how can you lay hands on the mischief-mongers, without first making the hands of the Caliph strong? If you really want to end trouble, gather under the banner of the Caliph. Do not plunge the people into civil war. It is a question of the whole people. I hope you love peace and order rather than general suffering and bloodshed."

Aisha, Talha and Zubair were moved by the appeal.

"If Ali is really keen to avenge Othman's death," they declared, "Our differences can be easily settled."

The envoy brought back hopeful news for the Caliph. With the envoy also came some men of Basra. They wanted to make sure that Ali was not going to treat them like a fallen enemy. Ali assured them that they had nothing to fear.

The hope of peace brightened. But in the army of Ali there were Abdullah bin Saba and his henchmen. Peace was fatal to them. They were very much disturbed by what Ali had said after the envoy's return to Basra.

"O people," he said. "The greatest favour Allah did four us, is to give us unity, Unity made you strong and great. The enemies of Islam did not like this. They have made a bid to shatter our unity. Beware of them. Tomorrow we will march to Basra with a peaceful aim. Those who took any part in Othman's murder should part company with us."

Abdullah bin Saba and his men were taken aback at this declaration. They met in a secret council.

"Ali is going to avenge Othman's death," they whispered to one another. "He now says what Talha, Zubair and Aisha say! We must do something about it."

On the following day, Ali marched off to Basra. Talha and Zubair came out of the city with their army. The two armies lay facing each other for three days. Peace talks were going on. On the third day, the top leaders of both sides had a face-to-face talk. Ali rode forward on his horse. From the other side came Talha and Zubair on their horses. They stood face to face, the necks of their horses touching.

"Am I not your brother?" said Ali, addressing the two. "Is not the blood of a Muslim sacred to another Muslim?"

"But you took part in the rising against Othman," retorted Talha.

"Yes, but at the point of the sword," Talha spoke back.

"Do you remember, O Zubair," said Ali, now addressing the second man, "that the Prophet of Allah, one day asked you if you loved me. You said 'Yes', Thereupon the Prophet of Allah foretold that one day you would fight me for nothing.'

"Certainly!" replied Zubair, "I now recall the words of the Prophet of Allah."

After this conversation the three men went back to their camps. The conversation had brought their hearts closer to one another. Each one had been set thinking seriously about the grim outcome of the civil war. The general feeling was that peace was now clearly in sight.

Ali went back to his camp very satisfied. He felt almost sure that bloodshed had been averted. At night he prayed to Allah to save the Muslims the horrors of a civil war.

    The Battle at Last

The night came on. The armies lay in sound sleep, but Abdullah bin Saba and his henchmen set up the whole night. This was their last chance. They must not let it slip by.

It was still dark when the clang of steel rent the air. There was a sudden uproar. Saba and his men had made a sudden attack on Aisha's army! Soon a full-dress battle was in full swing.

Talha and Zubair were started by the uproar.

"What is this all about?" they asked.

"Ali's army has made a night attack," they said.

"Alas!" they exclaimed, "Ali could not be stopped from shedding the blood of Muslims. We had this fear all the time."

Ali became equally startled by the sudden outburst.

"What is the matter?" he asked.

"Talha and Zubair have taken us by surprise," replied the followers of Saba.

"Alas!" said Ali, "these gentlemen could not be stopped from killing Muslims, I had this fear all the time.'

The fighting soon grew fierce. Hundreds fell on each side. Talha fell fighting. Zubair fled from the battlefield. The main army of Aisha melted away but stiff fighting still raged round her camel. She sat in a howdah on the camel and directed the fight. A huge crowd of devoted Muslims fought desperately for the honour of the Master's widow. One after another seventy men held the nose string of the camel and laid down their lives.

Ali's heart bled at the sight. Precious lives of Muslims were being lost for nothing. At last the Caliph summoned Hadruth Al-Qa'aqa to call for friendship and Unity among the two warring parties. Hadruth Al-Qa'aqa then called Hadruth Bujair ibn Dulja  to kill the camel, before the SweetHeart of RasoolALLAH SallALLAHwalaheewaSalim Ummul Momineen Tahira Humayra Aisha Siddeeqah Radee-Allahu Anha gets injured.  Hadruth Bujair then cut the camels leg and threw himself against it, pulling it down. The beast fell on the forelegs and down came the howdah, with this ended the fighting.

Aisha was taken out of the howdah, with all the respect due to her. She was unhurt. Ali went to her and said, "How do you do, mother!"

"Perfectly all right," replied Aisha. "May Allah forgive your mistake!"

"And may he forgive your mistake too!" said Ali.

Ali made a round of the battlefield. About ten thousand men from both sides had lost their lives. Ali felt deeply moved. He said prayers for them all and buried them. He did not allow his men to take possession of the booty. The whole of it was collected and was handed over to the people of Basra.

After fleeing the field of battle Zubair was on his way to Mecca. He stopped in a valley to say his prayer. When busy in prayer, he was slain by a man named Amr bin Jarmoz. Jarmoz brought Zubair's arms to Ali. He hoped to get a reward for slaying the caliph's rival. But in place of a reward, he got a stern rebuke.

"I saw the owner of this sword fight for the Prophet of Allah several times," said Ali "I give his murderer the news of hell-fire,'

When Aisha had rested in Basra some days, Ali sent her to Medina. He sent her brother, Muhammad Abu Bakr, with her. As she was about to leave, a number of men gathered round her camel. She addressed them and said, "My children, do not blame one another. By Allah, there was no enmity between Ali and me. It was a mere family squabble. I consider Ali a good man."

To this Ali replied, "she is perfectly right. Our differences were just a family affair. She occupies a very high place in the faith. Both here and in the world to come, she is the honoured wife of the Prophet of Allah," Ali went many miles to see off Aisha.

Ali now said about restoring order in Basra. The city had been up in arms against the caliph. But Ali declared a general amnesty. He gave a stirring address in the Jamia Mosque telling people to be mindful of their duty to Allah. He took the pledge of loyalty from the people and appointed Abdullah Bin Abbas as Governor of Basra.

Some leading men of the Banu Omayya were in Basra when the city fell. The ill-famed Marwan was also among them. These men went in to the bidding. The caliph came to know about them but he gave them the benefit for the general amnesty. In time they escaped to Syria and joined Muawia.

    1. Muharram Al Harram

Hazrat Abu Qatada (RZ) has narrated the Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him - ) saying:

“I hope that (before Allah) the fast of the day of Ashurah will be a source of forgiveness of the previous (i.e. the previous year)”

    (Tarimzi Shareef vol.1 pg.149 no.270)

Hazrat Ibn Abbas (RZ) has narrated the Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him - ) saying:

“Whoever fasts during the month of Muharram on the day of Ashurah, shall receive the reward of 10, 000 Angels and whoever fasts during the month of Muharram on the day of Ashurah, he shall receive the reward of 10, 000 martyrs and he shall receive the reward of 10, 000 people performing Hajj and Ummarah. And whoever on the day of Ashurah, places his hand over the head of an orphan, in response Allah Tallah will raise his status in paradise for each hair on the orphan’s head. And whoever on the night of Ashurah opens the fast of a Momin (a true Muslim believer) would be as if he opened the fast of the whole Ummah of the Messenger of Allah (Peace Be Upon Him - ) and filled their stomachs.”

    The companions of the Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him - ) asked;

“O! The Messenger of Allah (Peace Be Upon Him - ) has Allah (Glory be to Him) exalted the day of Ashurah over all other days.”

    He (Peace Be Upon Him - ) replied;

“Yes, Allah (Glory be to Him) created the skies on the day of Ashurah and also the earths, and created the mountains on the day of Ashurah and created the Pen on the day of Ashurah and created the Tablet on the day of Ashurah and Hazrat Adam (may Allah be pleased with him) came into being on the day of Ashurah and entered him into paradise on the day of Ashurah and Hazrat Ibrahim (may Allah be pleased with him) was born on the day of Ashurah and pharaoh drowned on the day of Ashurah and Allah Tallah removed tribulation from Hazrat Ayub (may Allah be pleased with him) on the day of Ashurah and Allah Tallah accepted the repentance of Hazrat Adam (may Allah be pleased with him) on the day of Ashurah and Allah (Glory be to Him) forgave the slip-up of Hazrat Dawood (may Allah be pleased with him) on the day of Ashurah and Hazrat Isa (Jesus) (may Allah be pleased with him) was born on the day of Ashurah and Day of Judgement will be on the day of Ashurah.”

    (Ganeeta Al-Talabeen pg.26 / 425, Tarteeb Shareef 57 / 756)

Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) has narrated the Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him - ) saying:

“Any person who fasts during the month of Muharram on the day of Ashurah, Allah Tallah shall write for him sixty years of worship. During which the day spent in fast and night standing in worship.

And whoever takes a bath on the day of Ashurah shall not become ill from any illness except the illness of death and whoever on the day of Ashurah applies collyrium on the eyelids, then his eye shall not hurt during that whole year.

And whoever on the day of Ashurah visits an ill person would be as if he visited all the siblings of Hazrat Adam (may Allah be pleased with him). And whoever on the day of Ashurah gives water to drink once, thus it would be as if he has not disobeyed Allah Tallah even to the blinking of an eye.

And whoever on the day of Ashurah prays four rakahs, in each rakah prays Surah Fatiha once and Surah Ikhlas fifty times, for him Allah Tallah will forgive the sins of the previous fifty years and sins of the coming fifty years. And Allah Tallah for him will create 1000 palaces with Nur (light) in the upper class.”

Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) has narrated the Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him - ) saying:

“Read the four rakahs with two salaams and in each rakah read Surah Fatiha once and Surah Zalzaal once and Surah Kafiroon once and Surah Ikhlas once and once finished send 70 times darood (blessings) upon the Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him - ).”

    (Ganeeta Al-Talabeen pg.27 / 426, Tarteeb Shareef 60 / 758)

Hazrat Shibly (may Allah send rahmat upon him) every day from the first of Muharram up to the tenth of Muharram, used to read 4 rakahs nafl. In every rakah Surah Fatiha once, Surah Ikhlas 15 times and after completing the prayer used to bless the reward before the sacred soul of Hazrat Imam Hussain (may Allah send His peace upon him). Thus one day Hazrat Shibly (may Allah send rahmat upon him) saw in his dream that Hazrat Imam Hussain (may Allah send His peace upon him) turned his face away from Hazrat Shibly (may Allah send rahmat upon him).

Hazrat Shibly (may Allah send rahmat upon him) requested

“Highness! what error have I done?”

    Reply came:

“Not an error! Our eyes show humility due to your favour. Until We on the Day of Judgement do not return the favour until then I will not be able to look you in the eye.”

Hazrat Imam Hussain (may Allah send His peace upon him) shall intercede for the performers of this prayer on the Day of Judgement.

    (Jwahray Gaybee)

    2. Safar Al-Muzafar

Safar is the month of "the descent of tribulations". In the whole year 1,080,000 tribulations are sent down out of which 920,000 are sent down in the month of Safar alone. Thus it comes in the blessed Hadith that whoever gives the good news of the ending of the month of Safar the Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him - ) will give him the glad tiding of entrance into Paradise. Hazrat Adam (may Allah send peace upon him) made error in the month of Safar. When Hazrat Ibrahim (may Allah send peace upon him) was put into the fire it was the first day of Safar. When Hazrat Ayub (may Allah send peace upon him) experienced tribulation it was the month of Safar. Hazrat Zikrya, Hazrat Yahya, Hazrat Jarees, Hazrat Younis (may Allah send peace upon them) and Hazrat Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him - ) were put in tribulation in the month of Safar. Also in the month of Safar, Hazrat Habeel (may Allah send peace upon him) was martyred.

Thus on the first night of the month of Saffar, after Isha Namaz, every Muslim should read 4 rakahs (nafl prayer) in the following manner. In the first rakah after Surah Fatiha read Surah Kafiroon 15 times and in the second Surah Ikhlas 15 times and in the third Surah Falaq 15 times and in the fourth Surah Naas 15 times. After completing the prayer say the following once:

Then read 70 times Darood (Blessings upon the Holy Prophet ). Then Allah Taala shall protect him from every tribulation and difficulty and would give him great reward.

    (Rahat Al Kaloob)

    3. Rabi` Al-Awwal

It is in the book titled Jawahir Gaybee that in the month of Rabi' Al-Awwal for 12 days keep sending gift of the reward of the salah (prayer mentioned below) to the Blessed soul of the Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him - ) . Because the Companions of the Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him - ), Tabaeen and Taba Tabaeen (may Allah be pleased with them all) also used to send the reward of these rakats as a gift to the soul of the Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him - ) and they are twenty rakats.

In every rakat surah Ikhlas is read 21 times. If one is not able to do this prayer continuously for 12 days then one must read the perscribed 20 Rakats on the 2nd and the 12th days and send the reward of this prayer upon the Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him - ). As the readers of this prayer have been given glad tiding of Paradise in their dreams by our Beloved Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him - ) may my soul be sacrificied upon him (Peace Be Upon Him - ). And seeing the Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him - ) and him (Peace Be Upon Him - ) giving the glad tiding even though him (Peace Be Upon Him - ) being behind the curtain is like him (Peace Be Upon Him - ) truly giving the glad tiding as if living.

It is written in the Book titled Al-Awrad that when the moon of Rabi' Al-Awwal is seen that night one should read 16 rakat Nafl(voluntary prayer) by making the intention of two rakats. In every rakat, after Surah Fatiha, read Surah Ikhlas 3 times. After reading the 16 Rakats read the following darood (salutation) upon the Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him - ) a 1000 times.

and continue reading this darood (salutation) upto 12 days. Thus he shall see the Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him - ) in his dream but one must read it after Isha and sleep while in the state of wudu (ablution).

It is written in the Book titled Al-Mashaikh that when the moon of Rabi' Al-Awwal is seen. From that night upto the end of the month, if one reads the darood (salutation) written below, upon the Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him - ), one thousand and twentyfive times after Isha prayer. Then that person shall see the Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him - ) in his dream and that darood is:

and in the same book it is written that who ever reads the following darood in the month of Rabi' Al-Awwal 125,000 times, that person shall certainly see the Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him - ) in his dream and that darood is:

or read the darood as follows:

    4. Rabi` Al-Thani

It is in the book titled Jamokhee Wa Gayra that when the moon of Rabi` Al-Thani is sited then in that (i.e. that night) after Maghrib Salah read 8 rakat Nafl (vouluntary prayer) in two, two rakats and after Surah Fatiha in the first rakat read Surah Koser 3 times and in the second rakat read Surah Kafiroon 3 times or instead only read Surah Ikhlas 3 times in each rakat. There is great reward for it.

It is in the book titled Jwahray Gaybee that on the 1st, 15th and 21st dates of the month of Rabi` Al-Thani read 4 rakahs Nafl (voluntary prayer) and in each rakat after Surah Fatiha read Surah Ikhlas 5 times. For that person 1000 good deeds are written and 1000 bad deeds are removed and 4 Hurray are born.

    5. Jumada Al-Awwal

It is written in the book titled Jwahray Gaybee that whoever on the first night of the month of Jumada Al-Awwal reads 4 rakats and in each rakat reads Surah Ikhlas 11 times, Allah Subhanahoo Wa Tallah adds 90,000 years of good deeds into his account and removes 90,000 years of bad deeds from his account.

It is also written in this book that on the night of the 1st of Jumada Al-Awwal after Magrib Salah one reads 8 rakats nafl (voluntary prayer) and in each rakat after Surah Fatiha reads Surah Ikhlas 11 times gets reward. Who ever starts an action in this month accomplishes it.

    6. Jumada Al-Thani

In the book Fazail Shoor it is narrated by Hazrat Ikhtab bin Hassan (may Allah be pleased with him) that Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique (may Allah be pleased with him) would read 12 rakats nafl on the first night of this month. There is no surah specified for these rakats. Most Companions (may Allah be pleased with them all) agree upon this.

In the same book it is narrated that in the last 10 days of Jumada Akhir (same as Jumada Al-Thani) the companions used to fast in celebration of the coming month Rajab and in the night of these 10 days they would read 20 rakats.

If on the first day of this month one reads 4 rakats and in each rakat he reads Surah Ikhlas 13 times, then 100, 000 deeds are written for him and 100, 000 deeds are erased.

    7. Rajab Al Murajab is the Month of cultivation, so plant your seeds!

The key to a productive Ramadhan is to prepare for it well in advance. Allah subhanahu wa ta`ala (exalted is He) encouraged us to fast and do extra good deeds during the months of Rajab and Sha`baan as a means of preparing ourselves for Ramadhan. Rajab and Sha`baan can be considered the months of sowing, while Ramadhan the month of reaping. If you really want to have good harvest this Ramadhan, plant your seeds in Rajab and Sha`baan.

    Take advantage of those months to train your body to wake up one hour before fajr (dawn prayer);
    • to read more Qur’an during the day;
    • to fast on the preferred days, such as Mondays and Thursdays;
    • and to practice doing extra good deeds.
By doing this, you will ease your way into Ramadhan and performing those extra `ibadaat (acts of worship) during Ramadhan will become very easy for you insha’Allah.

If you haven’t prepared for this Ramadhan, make the intention to do it next Ramadhan.
*Edit: There is still time to plant seeds of worship.

Question: What are the virtues of the month of Rajab?
Answered by Shaykh Ilyas Patel; (Imam Abdul Gani al-Nablusi, Fadhail al-Shuhur wal-Ayyam [Virtues of Months and Days] pg 27, 32) (Qibla), June, 09 June 2011

Answer: It has been mentioned by Abu Nu’aim in Hilya from Anas Ibn Malik (Allah be pleased with him) he said, that the Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him and give him peace) used to make the following dua, when the month of Rajab came in:

“Allahuma Barik lana fi Rajaba wa Sha’bana wa ballighna Ramadhan”

It has been mentioned by Abul Fath ibn Abil-Fawaris in his Amali (dictations and transmissions) and Allama Suyuti has also mentioned in his Jami Saghir from Hasan Basri that the Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him and give him peace) said,
“Rajab is the month of Allah. Shaban is my month. Ramadhan is the month of my ummah (followers)”.
From the above hadith, it shows that it is preferable to make du`a, to remain in the coming and following months, in order to perform good actions in them, because a true believer increases in his age with goodness. The best of people is the one who lives long and performs good actions.

The pious predecessors used to prefer dying after performing good actions, like the fast of Ramadhan or returning from Haj. And it was said by them, “whoever dies in this way, is forgiven.”
There is no doubt that the month of Rajab is the key to the opening of the months of goodness and blessing.

Abu Bakr Warraq (May Allah be pleased with him) said,
“Rajab is a month of cultivation, Shaban is month of irrigating the fields, and the month of Ramadhan is a month of reaping and harvesting.”

The summary is, that the month of Rajab is a sacred month and the first, virtuous and noble of them all. So it is appropriate to celebrate it ENTIRELY and to give attention to it by performing good acts, and refraining oneself from sins and offensive things, because it is the month of Allah.
It has been mentioned that Allah said,
“Fasting is for me and I will recompense one for it.”
Fasting in the month of Rajab prevents one from sins, let alone refraining one from killing and having enmity towards the enemy (which this month was made sacred for), like it was practiced by the people in the ignorant (jahili) period.

Merits of Rajab and Du`a for the First Night of Rajab
    AllahCentric (Wordpress), 03 June 2011

By the bounty of Allah we will soon be entering the blessed month of Rajab. Rajab is one of the four sacred months. It stands alone, unlike the other three which come together. The Prophet Muhammad (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said: “Rajab is the month of Allah, Sha`bān is my month, and Ramadhan is the month of my Ummah.”[1] The fact that it is the month of Allah means that it is worthy of veneration, and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) himself would venerate it. When the month entered he would seek its blessings, saying:
    اللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْ لَنَا في رَجَبٍ وَ شَعْبَانَ وَ بَلِّغْنا رَمَضَانَ
“O Allah bless us in Rajab and Sha`bān and enable us to reach Ramadhan!”[2]

Rajab is the key to the months of goodness which follow it. For that reason Imam Abu Bakr al-Warraq said: “Rajab is like a wind, Sha`ban is like a cloud and Ramadhan is like rain.”

Rajab was the month in which the Prophet’s blessed parents were married, and the month in which Amina (ra) became pregnant with the Best of Creation (peace and blessings be upon him). Most of the scholars say that the Isra’ (Night Journey) and the Mi`raj (Ascension) took place on the 27th night of Rajab. This was the night on which the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) received the greatest ennoblement that a created being ever received from Allah.

When one of the pious scholars became ill he said: “I have asked Allah to delay my death until the month of Rajab because I have heard that those that die in that month are saved from the Fire.” Allah answered his supplication and he passed away in Rajab.

    The First Night of Rajab

It is recommended to turn to Allah in the first night of Rajab. It has been narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
“There are five nights on which du`ā’ is not rejected: the first night of Rajab, the fifteenth night of Sha`bān, Thursday night, the night before `Eid al-Fitr and the night before `Eid al-Nahr (al-Adha).”[3]
`Ali, may Allah be well pleased with him, used to allocate extra amounts of time for worship on four nights – the first night of Rajab, the nights before the two `Eids, and the 15th night of Sha`bān. For this reason the scholars of Tarim hold a special gathering of dhikr on the first night of Rajab and a large mawlid the following morning.

Rajab, the Month of Istighfār (asking for forgiveness)

The best way of preparing the heart to receive divine gifts is purification and repentance. For this reason the scholars say that Rajab is the month of seeking forgiveness, whereas Sha`ban is the month of sending peace and blessings upon the Prophet, and Ramadan is the month of the Qur’an. Thus it is recommended to seek much forgiveness in Rajab.

Some of the scholars compiled special formulae of istighfar especially for Rajab, among them Habib Hasan the son of Imam `Abullah bin `Alawi al-Haddad.

In Tarim the following formula is read 70 times in congregation immediately after the `Isha Prayer every night in Rajab. The one reading it raises his hands while doing so:

    رَبِّ اغْفِرْ لي وارْحَمْنِي وَتُبْ عَلَيَّ
    Transliteration: “Rabbighfir'li w’arHamni wa tub`alayya.”
Translation: “Oh Allah forgive me, have mercy upon me, and grant me repentance.”[4]

    Good Deeds in Rajab

The reward of our good actions is multiplied in the sacred months, so it is recommended to do as many good deeds as possible. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) recommended fasting at least some days in each of the sacred months. Some of the Companions, among them `Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, and his son `Abdullah and `A’isha, liked to make `Umrah in Rajab.

At the same time bad deeds are also more serious in the sacred months so we must do our utmost to avoid any wrongdoings.

A sacred month is similar to a sacred place. It is recommended to bathe and purify oneself before entering the haram of Mecca and while in it one is more conscious of the weight of one’s actions. Likewise with a sacred month – we try to enter it in a state of purity and we try to maintain that purity throughout through doing good and avoiding evil.

O Allah bless us in Rajab and Sha`ban and enable us to reach Ramadan. Peace and blessings upon the one who guided us to all good and warned us of all evil, our Master Muhammad and his blessed family and Companions and all those that follow his guidance until the end of time.

The Rajab Letter, by Amjad Tarsin
Healing Hearts Blog, 24 June 2009

This is another excerpt from the book Kanz al-Najah wa’l-Suroor (“The Treasures of Success and Happiness”), a book highlighting the special qualities of each month. As the blessed and holy month of Rajab approaches, hopefully this information will be of use in allowing us all to appreciate it and benefit from it:

So, my dear friend, put forth a great effort in the month of Rajab, may Allah have mercy on you. It is the season of great profits, so take advantage of your time! Whoever is spiritually sick due to their sins – know that the medicine has come. Know that Rajab is a virtuous month in which worship is gloriously rewarded – especially fasting and seeking repentance (istighfar).

Also, making du’a during the eve of the first of Rajab is highly recommended. The Prophet, peace and mercy be upon him, said, “There are five nights in which du’a (supplication) is not rejected: the eve of Rajab, the 15th night of Sha’aban, the eve of Friday, on the eve of Eid Al-Fitr, and on the eve of Eid Al-Adha.” [Al-Suyuti in his Al-Jami'].

On the 27th night of Rajab, the Prophet, peace and mercy be upon him, was taken on the Isra wa Mi’raj (The Night Journey and Ascension to the Heavens). This was a great and glorious night, as is known to most Muslims, in which the Prophet, peace and mercy be upon him, met his Lord and was given the commandment to perform the 5 daily prayers.

Rajab is one of the four sacred months mentioned in the Quran (the four months are:
    1. Rajab,
    2. Dhul Qi’da,
    3. Dhul Hijjah,
    4. and Muharram

{The number of months is twelve according to God, in the decree of God, on the day God created the heavens and the earth; and four of them are sacred} (Qur'an, 9:36)

Rajab is Allah’s month in which He pours His Mercy upon the penitent and He accepts the actions that people have done for His sake. The Prophet, peace and mercy be upon him, said, “Rajab is the month of Allah, and Sha’aban is my month, and Ramadan is the month of my Ummah.” (Imam Al-Suyuti in Al-Jami).

Scholars say: Rajab is the month of repentance (istighfar), and Sha’aban is the month of sending peace and mercy (salawat/durood shareef) upon the Prophet, and Ramadan is the month of Qur’an.

It is also highly recommended to say the following Prophetic prayer (known as Sayyid Al-Istighfar or the Master of Repentance) 3 times every morning and every evening in Rajab:

Transliteration: Allahuma anta rabi la ilaha illa ant, khalaqtani wa ana ‘abduk, wa ana ‘ala ‘ahdika wa wa’adika ma astata’at, ‘authu bika min shar ma san’at, abu’u laka bi ni’matika ‘allaya wa abu’u bi dhanbi, faqhfir li fa’innahu la yaghfir al-dhunub ila anta.

Translation: O Allah, you are my Lord, and there is no god but you. You created me and I am your servant, and I am upon the convenant to the best of my ability. I seek refuge in you from the evil I have brought upon myself. I admit all the blessings you have given me and I admit my sins, so forgive me, for no one can forgive sins save You.

    And success is from Allah.

    8. Sha`ban Al Muazam

It is narrated by Hazrat Ali Murtaza (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet of Allah (Peace Be Upon Him - ) said when the 15th of Sha`ban arrives you should do qayyam (stay awake) i.e. read voluntary prayer and keep fast in the day because Allah (glory be to Him) descends to the worldly sky on this night after the setting of the sun, and says thus:

"Is there anyone who seeks forgiveness that I may forgive him?"
"Is there anyone who wants provision that I may give him provision?"
"Is there anyone in tribulation that I may free him of his tribulation?"

and Allah keeps saying like this till the sunrise.

It is narrated by Hazrat Abu Hurrairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him - ) said that Hazrat Arch Angel Gabriel (may Allah be pleased with him) came to Me (Peace Be Upon Him - ) at night on the 15th of Sha`ban and said to Me (Peace Be Upon Him - ).

"Oh the Messenger of Allah Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him - ) raise your beloved head towards the sky."

The Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him - ) said that I (Peace Be Upon Him - ) inquired from him as to what night was this? Hazrat Arch Angel Gabriel said

"This is one night in which Allah opens 300 doors from the doors of mercy. So He forgives everyone who does not associate Allah with anything and except the one who is a wizard or deals in witchcraft or is a forever alcohol drinker or is persistant in taking interest or is persistant in adultery. Thus such people will not be forgiven until they repent."

When the forth part of the night passed Hazrat Arch Angel Gabriel (may Allah be pleased with him) descended again and said

"Oh the Messenger of Allah Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him - ) please raise your beloved head."

Thus I (Peace Be Upon Him - ) raised my head and found the doors of the heaven open and the angel at the first door calls out

"Glad tidings to the one who bows down during this night."

and the angel at the second door calls out

"glad tidings to the one who prostrates during this night"

and the angel at the third door says

"glad tidings to the one who supplicates (makes a dua) during this night"

and the angel at the fourth door calls out

"glad tidings to the ones doing zikr (remembrance of Allah) during this night"

and the angel at the fifth door calls out

"glad tidings to the one who cries from the fear of Allah during this night"

and the angel at the sixth door calls out

"glad tidings to the believers on this night"

and the angel at the seventh door calls out

"Is there anyone who has a need that his need may be fulfilled"

and the angel at the eighth door calls out

"Is there anyone who seeks forgiveness that he may be forgiven."

Thus I (Peace Be Upon Him - ) inquired oh Gabriel when will these doors be open till? Arch Angel Gabriel (may Allah be pleased with him) replied till the sunrise and started from the begining of night and he continued oh the messenger of Allah Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him - ),

"Allah (glory be to Him) during this night has freed (people) from fire according to the number of hair on the goats of (Bani) Kalb."

On the 15th of Sha`ban Read 100 Rakats of Salat ul Khair and read 1000 Surah Ikhlas in these rakats i.e. read 10 Surah Ikhlas in each rakat.

Salf Salaheen (may Allah be pleased with them all) used to get together to pray Salat ul Khair in congregation.

Hazrat Hassan Basry (may Allah be pleased with him) has said that

"Thirty(30) Companions (may Allah be pleased with them all) of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him - ) gave me the news that the person who reads prayer (Salah) on this night Allah looks towards him seventy(70) times and every time He looks, Allah fulfils one of his wishes and the smallest wish granted is forgiveness."

Whoever in the month of Sha`ban reads 11 times Surah Ikhlas and blesses the reward of this on the soul of Hazrat Sayyaditun Nisa Hazrat Fatimah Zuhrah (may Allah be pleased with her). Hazrat Sayyaditun Nisa Hazrat Fatimah Zuhrah (may Allah be pleased with her) says that she will not enter paradise until she doesn't get intercession for that person.

    9. Ramadan Al Mubarrak

Hazrat Abdullah Bin Masood (may Allah be pleased with him) has reported that the Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him - ) said that whoever in the month of Ramadan keeps fast from the first of Ramadan to the last, gets rid of his sins as if he was just born from his mother's womb.

The Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him - ) said that if anyone fasts the month of Ramadan. Then Allah on the day of judgement will grant him a house of emerald. The house will have 1000 doors and in front of every door there will be a tree. If for 100 years while being mounted one travels under its shade. He still will not be able to come out of it.

For fasting intention is necessary. It is better if one intends like this:

However intention of the heart is enough. To eat Sahree1 is Sunnah, even if one takes one or two mouthful of food. To open fast with a date or water is best. At the time of Iftary (opening fast) read the following dua:

Actions that make the fast invalid and for which Kafara2 and Kazaa3 become necessary:

    • To smoke a cigarette or using a smoking pipe (huqa) or otherwise
    • To eat or drink purposely.
    • To have sexual intercourse.

The kafara2 is to fast continuously for 60 Days or to feed a full day’s meal (morning and evening) to 60 people who are poor and needy.

Things that make the fast Makhruh:

    • To chew something without necessity.
    • Or to just taste salt and then spit it out.
    • To collect saliva (spit) and then to swallow it intentionally.
    • To bleed or open a vein.
    • To backbite, to lie, to slander or to fight and argue

Things by which fast remains valid:

    • To eat or drink unintentionally.
    • Without ones control if dust, fly or mosquito goes in ones mouth
    • If water goes in the ears
    • If one vomits involuntarily
    • If the need of gusal becomes necessary due to ones dream (seminal discharge during sleep)
    • If vomit comes and return by it self
    • To put medicine in the eyes
    • To put surma (collyrium; antimony reduced to fine powder for applying to the eyes)
    • To clean teeth using muswak (a wooden stick used for cleaning teeth).

Things for which you can leave fast but kazaa3 becomes necessary:

    • Patient who does not have the strength to keep a fast or it is absolutely necessary for the patient to take medicine during the day (during fasting).
    • A pregnant woman if there is a danger to her or the unborn baby.
    • A traveller according to shria at least 48 miles of travelling and if there is no provision for food on the journey.
    • A woman in labour (child-birth)
    • Very old person who feels extreme difficult in keeping a fast. For every fast missed he should give 1ĺ seer4 of wheat to the need and the poor.

Cases where fast can be broken:

    • If one gets ill while fasting and there is danger of death.
    • or if there is strong probability that the illness would increase
    • or if one is extremely thirsty and would die

One can break fast in such cases but should make kazaa3.

    meanings of words used

    1. Sahry means waking up and eating as close to fajr time to keep the fast.
    2. Kafara means atonement, compensate.
    3. Kazaa means making up for it later.
    4. Seer equal 0.9331 kg, in Pakistan, the seer is now considered equal to the kilogram.

Lailatul Qadr (the night of Power)

Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) has reported that the Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him - ) said the person who on Lailatul Qadr, bieng a believer, stays awake during the night (qayyam ul lail) with the intention of recieving reward only, his future sins will be forgiven and the person who fasts the month of Ramadan in the state of Imaan (belief) with the intention of reward, his future sins will be forgiven.
(Bukharee Shareef Volume 1 page 425 no. 1755, Tarteeb Shareef page 820)

Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) has narrated that the Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him - ) said that when its Lailatul Qadr, Hazrat Gabriel (may Allah be pleased with him) descends with a group (jamah) of angels and for every slave, they send blessing upon him or do dua for his forgiveness, who while standing or sitting down, remembers or worships Allah (Glory be to Him). When it is their (i.e. muslims) day of celebration (Eid ul Fitr), then Allah (Glory be to Him) due to these slaves shows His pride among the angels and says

"Oh My angels! whats is the reward for the slave who completes his work?"

    The angels reply

"Oh Our Creator his reward is that he be returned in full."

Allah (Glory be to Him) says

"Oh My angels! My slave men and My slave women have fulfilled their duty and for praying to Me have left their homes for the mosques. I swear upon My Honour, My Majesty, My Forgiveness, My Generosity, My High Exalteded State and My High Station that I will accept there supplications (Duas)."

and then Allah (Glory be to Him) says

"Oh My slaves! Return to your homes, I have forgiven you and have turned you bad deeds into good deeds."

The Beloved Messenger of Allah (Peace be Upon Him - ) said thus the muslims return from the mosques in a state that their sins are forgiven.
(Baihaqee, Mashkat Shareef Volume 1 page 355 no 1983, Tarteeb Shareef page 821-822)

When you find Lailatul Qadr (the night of Power)

The Beloved Messenger of Allah (Peace Be Upon Him - ) said, and when you see the night of Qadr then say  the dua: Oh Allah! You are Most forgiving You like to forgive thus forgive me.

(Aisha Saddiqua - Tarimzi - Nasaee - Ibn Maaja - Hakim (may Allah be pleased with them all) - book: Hassan Hussain page 345 and Tarteeb Shareef page 496)

    10. Shawwal Al Mukarram

Hazrat Sobaan (RZ) has narrated the Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him - ) as saying "Fasting of one month is equal to the fasting of ten months. Then this is equivalent to a year i.e. the month of Ramadan and after that (in Shawwal) fast of six days.
(Darmey Shareef page 274 No. 737 Tarteeb Shareef page 845)

It has been narrated by Hazrat Anas (RZ) that the Holy Messenger of Allah (Peace Be Upon Him - ) said:

    11. Dhul-Qa`dah Al Najeeb

It is written in the blessed Hadith that whoever fasts a day of Dhul-Qa`dah Al Najeeb. Allah (Glory be to Him) writes for him every moment the reward of an accepted Haj and with every moment that passes the reward of a freed slave.

    (Rasala Fazail-e-Shahoor)

It has come in a narration of the blessed Hadith that in this month a moment of worship is better than a thousand years of worship. And said that the fast of monday during this month is better than a thousand years of worship.

    (Rasala Fazail-e-Shahoor)

It is written in the blessed Hadith that whoever performs four Rakats on the first night of Dhul-Qa`dah Al Najeeb and in every rakat recites Surah Ikhlas 23 times after the recitation of Surah Fatihah. Then Allah (Glory be to Him) will make for him four thousand houses made of red ruby. Inside every house there will be a pulpit made of jewels and there will be Hoor sat on each of the pulpits whose forehead will be shining brighter than the sun.

    (Rasala Fazail-e-Shahoor)

It has come in one narration to perform 2 Rakats every night during the month of Dhul-Qa`dah Al Najeeb. In every Rakat after the recitation of Surah Fatihah read Surah Ikhlas 3 times. Then that person recieved every night, the reward of one martyr and one Haj. Also during this month whoever performs every Friday 4 Rakats and after reciting Surah Fatihah reads reading Surah Ikhlas 21 times. Then Allah Talaa (Glory be to Him) writes for him the reward of Haj and Umarah.

Virtues and Significance of the First Ten Days of Dhul Hijjah

"By the Dawn! And the ten nights! And the even and the odd!" (89:1/2/3)

Allah Ta'ala has endowed Friday to be the best day of the week, the month
of Ramadaan to be the best month of the year, and the last ten days of
this month to be the best days of Ramadaan. Similarly He has declared the
first ten days of the month of Zii Hijj to be a period of exceptional

As a mark of distinction, Allah Ta'ala has manifested the sanctity of
these "Ten Nights" in the Holy Quran. According to some learned scholars
of Islam, the "Ten Nights" refer to the last ten nights of Ramadaan or the
first ten days of Muharram or the last five odd nights of Ramadaan which
includes the Night of Power, both the Eid Nights, Meraj, Arafaat and the
15th of Shabaan. But the majority of scholars believe that the "Ten
Nights" refer to the first ten nights of Dhul Hijjah. It is for this
reason that Hajj is performed during these days.

An additional significance of this month is the fact that the day of
Arafaat is found in it. The day of Arafaat falls on the ninth of Dhul
Hijjah. The first ten days of Dhul Hijjah are the most significant days of
the year and the day of Arafaat is the most significant day of these ten
days. It is therefore the most significant day of the year. Allah Ta'ala
bestows the greatest honour on His servants by forgiving them. Success in
the hereafter greatly depends on seeking forgiveness; this day is the day
of forgiveness. Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) has said that a
Muslim who fasts on the day of Arafaat has his minor sins of the year

There is yet another auspicious day in this blessed month, the day of
sacrifice. This is the day on which Hazrat Ibraheem (Alayhis-Salaam) was
tested to sacrifice his beloved son, Hazrat Ismaeel (Alayhis-Salaam). To
commemorate this event, Muslims have been directed to sacrifice animals on
this day so that all Muslims can remember this incident and learn a lesson
from it. Hence, this day, the 10th of Dhul Hijjah, is known as

Rasulullah (Sallallaahu-Alayhi-Wasallam) has observed that the first ten
days of Dhul Hijjah is a period for offering invocations, supplications,
prayers and other Ibaadat performances. In these blessed days if one keeps
a fast for one day one obtains the blessing for fasting for one year and
the reward for remembering Allah Ta'ala during one night of the ten nights
is equal to the reward and blessings of Laila-tul-Qadr (the Night of
Power). These days are filled with special virtues and a virtuous deed
performed in this period is most pleasing to Allah Ta'ala. The hadith
mentions the special significance and great excellence relating to the
first 10 days of Dhul Hijjah.

Hazrat Ibn Abbas (Radhiallahu-Anhu) relates that Rasulullah
(Sallallahu-Alayhi-Wasallam) said, "On no other days are good deeds more
liked by Allah than on these days, the first ten days of Dhul Hijjah." The
Sahaaba asked, "O Rasulullah, not even Jihaad in the way of Allah Ta'ala?"
Rasulullah (Sallallaahu-Alayhi-Wasallam) replied, "Not even Jihaad in the
way of Allah Ta'ala, except for that person who goes out to fight with his
life and wealth and does not return with anything." (BUKHARI)

It is reported from Abu Huraira (Radhiallahu-Anhu) that Rasulullah
(Sallallaahu-Alayhi-Wasallam) said, "On no days is the worship of Allah
Ta'ala more loved than in the first 10 days of Dhul Hijjah. The fast of
each of these days is equal to the fast of a whole year, and the Ibaadat
of each of these nights is equal to the Ibaadat of Laila-tul-Qadr.'

It is related by Ibn Abbas (Radhiallahu-Anhu) that Rasulullah
(Sallallaahu-Alayhi-Wasallam) said, 'No days are as weighty with Allah and
so liked by Him for good deeds than the first 10 days of Dhul Hijjah. So
in these days increasingly read TASBEEH (Subhanallah) TAHLEEL (La Ilaha
Illallah), TAHMEED (Alhamdulillah) and TAKBEER (Allahu Akbar)." (TABRAANI)

Hazrat Abu Qatadah al-Ansari (Radhiallahu-Anhu) relates that Rasulullah
(Sallallaahu-Alayhi-Wasallam) was asked about the saum (fast) on the day
of Arafaat (9th Dhul Hijjah). He said, "It compensates for the minor sins
of the past year and the coming year." (MUSLIM)

NOTE: This fast is Mustahab. There is no sin if it is not kept.

It is related that Rasulullah (Sallallaahu-Alayhi-Wasallam) said, "Whoever
stays awake and makes Ibaadat on the nights of Eid-Ul-Fitr and
Eid-Ul-Adha, his heart will not die on the day when all hearts will be
    dead." (TARGHEEB)

Hazrat Muaaz lbn Jabal (Radhiallahu-Anhu) relates that Rasulullah
(Sallallaahu-Alayhi-Wasallam) said, "Jannat is waajib for those who stay
awake with the intention of making Ibaadat on the following nights: 8th,
9th and 10th of Dhul Hijjah, the night of Eid-ul-Fitr and the night of
    15th Shabaan.' (TARGHEEB)

Ibn Abbaas (Radhiyallaahu Anhu) relates that Rasulullah (Sallallaahu
Alayhi Wasallam) said, 'On no other days are good deeds (Amal Salih) more
liked by Allah than on these days - meaning the first ten days of
Zul-Hijjah'. The Sahaab asked, 'Oh` Rasulullah! not even Jihaad in the way
of Allah?' Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) replied, 'not even
Jihaad in the way of Allah, except for that person who goes out to fight
with his life and wealth and does not return with anything'. (Bukhari)

Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) says, 'on NO days is the worship
of Allah desired more than in the first ten days of Zul-Hijjah. The fast
of each of these days is equal to the fast of a whole year, and the
Ibaadat of each of these nights is equal to the Ibaadat of Laylatul Qadr'.
    (Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah)

Abu Qatadah Al-Ansari RA relates that Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alayhi
Wasallam) was asked about the Sawm (fast) on the day of Arafaat (9th
Zul-Hijjah). He said, 'It compensates for the minor sins of the past year
    and of the coming year'.

Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) has said, 'the most acceptable
Du'a is that which is made on the day of Arafah, and the best Du'a which
the Prophet`s before me and I have said is:
Laa Ilaaha illa llaahu Wahadahoo laa Shareeka lahu, Lahul Mulku walahul
Hamdu Wa Huwa Alaa kulli shay en Qadeer.

It is related from ibn Abbaas RA that Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alayhi
Wasallam) said, 'no days are as weighty with Allah and so liked by Him for
good deeds than the first ten days of Zul-Hijjah. So in these days
increasingly read TASBEEH (Subhaanallah), TAHMEED (Alhamdulillah) and
    TAKBEER (Allaahu Akbar). (Tabraani).

It is related that Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) said, 'Whoever
stays awake and makes Ibaadat on the nights of Eid-ul-Fitr and
Eid-ul-Adha, his heart will not die on the day when all hearts will be
    dead'. (Targheeb)

Subhanaka allahuma wa bihamdik ash hadu an laa illaha illa anta, astaghfiruka wa
    atoobu ilayk.

Ibn 'Abbas reports that the Messenger of Allaah (sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam) said, "No good deeds done on other days are superior to those done on these days [meaning the ten days of Dhul-Hijjah]." The
companions asked, "O Messenger of Allaah, not even jihad in the way of Allaah?" He said, "Not even jihad, except for the man who puts his life and wealth in danger [for Allaah's sake] and returns with neither of
    them." [Bukhari, Tirmidhi)

Abu Hurairah relates that the Messenger of Allaah (sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam) said, "There are no days more loved to Allaah for you to worship Him therein than the ten days of Dhul Hijja. Fasting any day
during it is equivalent to fasting one year and to offer salatul tahajjud (late-night prayer) during one of its nights is like performing the late night prayer on the night of power
    . [i.e., Lailatul
Qadr]." [This is related by at-Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah, and al-Baihaqi]

    Fasting Day of Arafat
Hazrat Muaaz lbn Jabal (Radhiallahu-Anhu) relates that Rasulullah (Sallallaahu-Alayhi-Wasallam) said, "Jannat is waajib for those who stay awake with the intention of making Ibaadat on the following
nights: 8th, 9th and 10th of Dhul Hijjah, the night of Eid-ul-Fitr and the night of 15th Shabaan
    .' (TARGHEEB)

Abu Qatadah reported that the Messenger of Allaah (sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam) said, "Fasting on the day of 'Arafah is an expiation for two years, the year preceding it and the year following it. Fasting the day
of 'Ashurah is an expiation for the year preceding it."
    [Muslim] Hafsah reported, "
There are five things that the Messenger (sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam) never abandoned: fasting the day of 'Ashurah,
fasting the [first] 10 [days of Dhul-Hijjah], fasting 3 days of every month (13th, 14th, 15th) and praying two rak'ah before the dawn prayer." [This is related by Ahmad and an-Nasa'i]
